This Monstera probably comes from the tropical rainforests of Peru, where it grows climbing trees in humid and shady environments. Monstera obliqua 'Peru' is known to be a challenging plant to grow. This Monstera has more holes than leaves and is probably the most extreme example of this among all plants that exist.

Botanical description.

Scientific name: Monstera obliqua 'Peru'

Monstera obliqua grows from Panama down to Bolivia. The species varies greatly in appearance and is described primarily by the flower. Generally, the more humid the environment, the more hollow the leaves and the more 'delicate' the monstera becomes. Monstera obliqua 'Peru' is believed to grow at the foot of the Andes mountain range in Peru in high humidity.

Monstera obliqua can thus have robust, thick leaves in dry areas, while subspecies such as M. obliqua 'Peru', have these thin, fragile leaves in their humid habitat. Monstera obliqua peru is not endangered in the wild, but extremely rare and difficult to find in plant shops.

Appearance.

The leaves are thin, almost transparent and have large, irregular holes. The name 'obliqua' means 'oblique' in Latin and refers to the characteristic slanted leaves of this monstera.

Monstera obliqua 'Peru' is a climbing plant and can reach a height of up to 2 meters if given the right plant support.

Care.

To succeed with Monstera obliqua 'Peru', plant the plant in a very well-drained soil mix, such as our Aroid soil. Monstera obliqua thrives best in indirect bright light. Water regularly but sparingly, and make sure the soil is allowed to dry out slightly between waterings to avoid root rot. This monstera species thrives best in very high humidity so a humidifier is recommended.

If you are looking for an unusual plant to grow at home, Monstera obliqua 'Peru' will fill the hole with its holes. Buy Monstera obliqua 'Peru' online and enjoy the charm of tropical green houseplants.

This filled in so many gaps
Format: Paperback
As someone who grew up reading the Bible, this book was a revelation. Jubilees and Jasher gave context and depth to stories I thought I already understood, and Enoch’s visions took everything to another level. I really appreciated how all five books were included in one volume—well-organized, easy to navigate, and supported with helpful notes. It’s a serious study tool, but also a compelling read.

Felt like opening a long-lost vault
Format: Paperback
I had no idea what I was getting into when I picked this up. These writings are so different from the Bible I grew up with—more mystical, more cosmic, and honestly more human in some parts. The modern English translation helped a lot, because even with that, it takes time to digest. Jubilees really surprised me—it’s like reading Genesis with a behind-the-scenes commentary. And Enoch III? That one goes wild. This book isn’t casual reading, but if you’re spiritually curious or love ancient texts, it opens up a totally different lens on early beliefs.

Gave me chills more than once
Format: Paperback
I didn’t expect to feel so pulled in, but there were parts of this book that made me stop reading and just sit there. The stories are strange, intense, and full of meaning I’m still trying to wrap my head around. Enoch 1 hit me the hardest—watchers, judgment, hidden knowledge—it all felt ancient and oddly urgent. Having the modern translation helped me connect with the words instead of struggling through them. The notes didn’t get in the way either—they actually made me want to dig deeper.

Mystical, layered, and thought-provoking
Format: Paperback
This book took me on a serious deep dive. I’ve read Jasher before, but this version gave it new life with clean translation and smart notes. Ina Quant and the Three Jubilees were new to me—and honestly, they pulled me in with their strange, prophetic rhythm. It’s not a casual read, but if you’re spiritually curious or love ancient texts that go beyond the traditional canon, this is a goldmine. It felt like uncovering the other half of a story I didn’t know was incomplete.
