The Holy Grail of Fuzz, Refined

Joe and Steve from Isle of Tone are lifelong lovers of vintage gear. Over the years, they’ve collected, restored, and compared some of the rarest fuzz pedals ever made. That deep, hands-on experience is what led to the creation of the Haze67.

The Haze67 is Isle of Tone’s tweaked and optimized interpretation of the classic Tone Bender MK1.5 and early Fuzz Face circuits. It is not a straight clone, but a carefully refined design built to capture the best characteristics of both circuits while improving consistency, usability, and musical response.

Every Haze67 is completely handmade, matched by ear, and assembled using exceptionally rare NOS components sourced from around the world. Only the best parts make it into production, resulting in a fuzz that feels alive, expressive, and deeply responsive to a player’s touch.

The Haze67 has found its way into the hands of players such as Joey Landreth, Ariel Posen, Josh Smith, and Nick Perri.

Circuit Design and Feel

At its core, the Haze67 is based on the Tone Bender MK1.5 and early Fuzz Face topology, with carefully adjusted resistor and capacitor values. Steve developed a unique multi-stage resistor system that alters amplification rather than bias, allowing the player to move between different gain structures while preserving the circuit’s natural feel.

The result is a fuzz that behaves more like an instrument than a typical effect. It offers sparkly, glassy clean tones when rolling back the guitar’s volume control, smooth and articulate breakup for rhythm playing, and thick, saturated fuzz that remains musical and stable at higher gain settings. Throughout its range, the Haze67 is exceptionally sensitive to touch and picking dynamics.

The pedal cleans up beautifully, never collapses or sputters, and avoids the brittle or saw-like decay often associated with less refined fuzz designs.

What’s New on the Haze67 V2

The Haze67 V2 introduces several meaningful upgrades while fully preserving the original circuit philosophy and tonal character.

• New larger enclosure made locally in Bavaria, solid and heavy-duty while remaining pedalboard friendly

• Built using rare NOS yellow circuit boards sourced from a discontinued U.S. manufacturer

• On-off battery switch eliminates the need to unplug cables to preserve battery life

• Standard 9V DC power supply input

• Battery can remain installed without draining when a power supply is connected

• Front-mounted NOS USA-made “+ / –” output level switch

Output Level Switch Explained

The Haze67 V2 features a front-mounted “+ / –” output level switch designed to make the pedal easier to integrate into a wide range of rigs without altering its core tone.

In the “+” setting, the pedal delivers a hotter output level that allows it to function almost like a preamp. With the pedal set high and the amplifier’s volume reduced, players can move seamlessly from pristine clean tones to full fuzz using only the guitar’s volume control, resulting in exceptionally responsive and musical behavior.

The “–” setting lowers the overall output while preserving the same tonal character. This makes it easier to add the Haze67 into complex pedalboards or existing signal chains without needing to rebalance levels across other pedals or the amplifier.
Depending on the switch position, output levels range from near unity with the amplifier to authentic 1966–68 Fuzz Face output levels at full volume.

Fits on my eufy perfectly! Now I have a spare set and can wash one. Not too expensive, so I won’t feel guilty when it’s time to throw them away

Absolutely amazing! Working flawlessly for over a month, so far.
Color: White
I am very pleased with the performance so far. The strengths are the ease of setup, the accuracy of its mapping and carpet/floor recognition, the quality of its cleaning and mopping, and the entertainment of just watching. There are weaknesses. The documentation is sparse and pretty useless and tech support has been ghosting me..no responses. So hunt and peck with the App, mostly. Hard to really customize by trial and error. While it vacuums very well, it does not empty as well, really requiring the owner to manually empty the dust bin. No big deal. Maintenance recommendations are hidden on the website and I suspect it is advisable to do some maintenance after every use. The strengths win, however.

User friendly, Pet Hair Approved, Quite Powerful Robot Vacuum
Color: White
We prviously had an Eureka E10 vacuum and mop robot for 4 years. We had no idea what we were missing until we purchased this Narwal Freo X10 Pro. It maps very fast. It is extremely quite. The vacuum then mop with a refreshed mop head solution is much better than dragging around a robot mop pad with no way to clean it without removing and washing it. We have 3 Australian Sheppards that shed alot. This was the number one concern, whereas the prvious unit needed daily attention. Not a single hair tangle in the floating rotating brush of this unique Narwal Freo X10 Pro Robot vacuum. 4 months of no robot management is wonderful. The application was easy to use with a ton of customizable options. The AI option to recognize various floor types and throw rugs ensures a complete clean and quick simple setup. Lastly the price vs product was very reasonable. Great product! After spending many months researching, we are glad we made this investment.

After five months, it's basically a brick
Color: White
We've had this robot for five months, and it isn't durable. It worked fine for a couple months. But now it works fine for maybe 20 minutes and then just starts spinning around or going back in forth in the same area wasting its battery. The endless troubleshooting does not help. Cleaning all the sensors, resetting the robot, remapping the house ... Nothing helps. It is only being used in about 1100 sq ft of total space, so it's just not that complicated. It's been trying (and failing) to vacuum our smallish living room for nearly five hours, after several resets/etc. Back when it did function, the vacuum is rather loud if you want it to actually pick up anything big enough to see. The vacuum and mop are both terrible at inner corners, and the intersection between rugs and hardwood flooring is a total miss. There's like a 12" strip along all rugs where mopping never occurs. Definitely not a machine to be used without supplemental sweeping and mopping. The machine insists on starting rugs at the corner, so it pulls up even pretty heavy rugs sometimes. It's sucks up items like socks instead of avoiding them. Also, the machine has never successfully left alone no-vacuum rugs or no-go areas, so some rooms (like with high pile rugs or Christmas tree stands) just don't work without physical barricades. Really, really makes me miss the old reliable roombas...
