My elderly mother has these all over her house - very easy to grow from seed and even easier to then propagate from cuttings so you might neve have to buy seeds from me again! :( Not only that Coleus cross-breed really easily so if you collect and sow the seeds you might even develop your own unique new cultivar!
Coleus are very versatile - can be grown and kept as houseplants or grown outside in summer - in the border or in pots. I do something in between - I have them outside in summer then select cuttings from the best looking specimens and keep them indoors over winter. Many others cant be bothered to do this and simply sow new seeds in spring or whenever they want the plants - cheap, easy and reliable.
Seed Germination
- Prepare a seed tray of moist sieved compost - ideally with 50% vermiculite or horticultural sand
- Sprinkle seeds over the surface
- Cover with a fine layer of sieved compost
- Keep in a warm light place
- Ensure compost does not dry out - can place clingfilm with a few air holes over tray to keep in moisture.
- Seeds take 7-15 days to germinate
- Pot on once large enough to handle and have several sets of leaves

Good Pillows to Show Off Decorative Pillow Shams
Size: Queen - 20"*30" (pack of 2), Color: Grey
Although we have queen-sized beds, we typically use standard-sized pillows. One of the quilt sets I got this Christmas time came with queen sized pillow shams, and the standard pillows just didn't fill them properly. I could have sewn flanges on either side of the shams, but I decided to order these pillows instead. The are almost wide enough to fully fill those shams that started all this additional purchasing. (I also ended up ordering pillow protectors for the queen sized pillows.)
The pillows are fluffy and substantial for now. My husband manages to flatten out pillows almost no matter how they start our. For now, so far so good. They re a medium-weight and fullness, I would say. They do a good job of showing off the pillow sham design, so that's a plus. I'm not planning for us to sleep on them, but they are added back support while watching TV. They are primarily for decorative purposes when the bed is made with the quilt and shams. They were a reasonable value for the intended purpose.
