OTHER: English Cucumbers are smooth, long & slender. The mature fruit averages 1 1/2 - 2" wide & up to 14" long. This acid-free burpless cucumber is sweet & tender with no bitterness. English cucumbers have a thinner skin than regular cucumbers & don't require peeling. They also have fewer & smaller seeds, so are more pleasant to eat.
Use English Cucumbers fresh sliced as a snack, in salads, as a garnish, in sandwiches, or in dips like tzatziki sauce. (English cuces are THE cucumber of tzatziki sauce.) They are also added to a variety of drinks & in cold soups like gazpacho. Cucumbers can also be cooked in variety of manners including pan-fried, stir-fried, sautéed, or roasted.
English Cucumbers are parthenocarpic, meaning that they develop fruit without being pollinated, so they can easily be grown in greenhouses (especially useful over winter in cooler areas), earning them their nicknames Hothouse & Greenhouse Cucumber.
