If you are looking for a unique and low-maintenance succulent plant to add to your succulent collection? Then look no further than the Echeveria afterglow, a vibrant member of the Echeveria genus! This afterglow echeveria was created through a magical crossbreeding between Echeveria Cante and Echeveria Shaviana, resulting in a one-of-a-kind succulent that will leave you mesmerized.

The Echeveria afterglow with its powdery lavender-pink leaves that practically glow when they catch the sunlight, adorned with delicate bright pink edges, and its easy-to-care-for nature, this stunning plant is a must-have for any green thumb. It has a plump, fleshy rosette that can grow up to 24 inches tall and wide. This afterglow echeveria is like a burst of color and happiness in the world of plants!

Hailing from Northern Mexico, the Echeveria afterglow produces beautiful deep red-orange flowers that just bloom in the summertime; this plant is sure to turn heads and add drama to any space. This echeveria propagation can be done by cuttings and seeds. Not only is it safe for humans, but it's also friendly to pets! So why wait?

Watering Needs

One of the coolest features of the Echeveria afterglow is the way it stores water in its leaves. That means you don't need to water it too often - just make sure the topsoil is completely dry before giving it another drink. This helps avoid overwatering and keeps your plant healthy and happy!

Plus, during those hot summer months, watering once a week is perfect for your little guy. But come wintertime, you can cut back to every two weeks or less.  And get this: any type of water (except hard water) will work just fine! So, whether you use tap, filtered, or even rainwater, your afterglow will thrive in no time. Just remember to avoid hard water since this Echeveria afterglow succulent doesn't like lime very much.

Light Requirements

Like many other succulents, the Echeveria afterglow also requires bright, direct sunlight to bring out the vibrancy of colors. The leaves are covered in a powdery coating called farina, which helps to protect the plant from sunburn and reduce water loss. These Echeveria afterglow plants require at least six hours of strong light each day to survive, although partial shade in the afternoon is often preferable, especially in hotter climates where the plant might become stressed by the intense heat of the afternoon sun.

Although the Echeveria afterglow can tolerate some shade, insufficient light can make the plant lose its color and rosette shape. It's crucial to place your Echeveria succulent away from any areas with constant direct sunlight, as doing so could result in burned foliage.

Optimal Soil & Fertilizer Needs

The Echeveria afterglow is very airy, porous, and nutrient-rich soil with a pH of 5.6–6.5. Succulents require fast-draining soil that dries completely between waterings. Your soil must have a sandy texture and a low water-holding capacity, just like desert soil.  Soggy, wet soil can damage your cactus and contribute to bacterial and fungal rot. In addition, because of a lack of oxygen, soggy soil substitutes air pockets with water, resulting in an anaerobic environment that can kill your Echeveria plant. Ideally, you want to use our specialized potting mix that contains 5 natural substrates and organic mycorrhizae to promote the development of a strong root system that helps your Echeveria succulent thrive.

When it comes to fertilizing your afterglow Echeveria, remember that less is more. A small amount of fertilizer with an equal mixture of NPK (5-10-50) once a year in the spring will do wonders for your plant's health and growth. Using a natural fertilizer ensures that other beneficial compounds and microbes are added to the soil without the use of harsh chemicals. Show your Echeveria afterglow succulent some love with awesome natural fertilizer and watch it thrive.

Hardiness Zones & More

As desert dwellers, the Echeveria afterglow enjoys hot temperatures. They prefer constant temperatures above 70 degrees Fahrenheit and can tolerate triple digits in the summer, so don't worry if your cactus gets too hot.

Echeveria afterglow, on the other hand, cannot handle frost, cold, or freezing temperatures, so make sure it doesn't get below 45 degrees Fahrenheit in its environment.  If grown outdoors, it grows best in USDA zones 9–11.

Don't miss out on adding the Echeveria afterglow to your garden! Order now and enjoy its beauty for years to come.

Little work horse!
I LOVE the look of an edged sidewalk. After a few calls to some local landscape companies, I couldn't find anyone with an edger. Crazy! So I bought myself this one! Super easy to put together and just as easy to use. My walk hasn't been edged for many years and was very overgrown. I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to run this thing, but this little work horse did the job for me and did it perfectly. It will be super easy to keep it edged now. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Takes The Edge Off!
This is a decent product. If you are going to do a lot of edging, or want to do deep trenching to run conduit, etc. this is NOT the product you want. It is electric, so you are tethered to an outlet, and of course, the farther you go on extension cords, the less of the 12 amp juice you get. It also trenches to 1 1/2", which is OK, but not enough to dump conduit, etc. That said, this is a very good edger. Out of the box, it is minimal assembly. You connect the three pieces of the shaft, removing some edge tape from it, and inserting two metal bolts and plastic knobs, similar to most lawn mowers these days. Then you install the plastic handle with another bolt. That's it. For use, you have a lever which you pull up for edging and lower for trenching to adjust the group clearance. You also choose 1", 1/4", or 1 1/2" depth. Then you plug it in. There is a white line on top of the blade cover so you know where the blade is. You just pull the trigger to run the blade, or release the trigger to stop the blade. Be careful not to lose sight of your electric cord so you don't hit it! I edged along my driveway, about 50' on each side, as well as my front of my lawn, so another 85' along the lawn and the apron (both sides). That's over 350'. It cut through the grass and dirt easily. It struggled a couple of times, on some tough mounds of grass, but like any other tool, you don't force it when that happens, just back up and do that area again slowly. If you come too close to blacktop, Belgian block, stone, etc. you will see sparks so you will know. Just keep in mind, this is an edger. You will be left with the severed grass/sod to remove. In my case I was loooong overdue for a edging, so I spent a long time scraping the sod off the pavement with a shovel. I expect with more frequent ending, and now working with a cleaner edge, this will be less of an issue. Either way, that is not on the product, but the state of the lawn. The edger has 2 read wheels and one smaller front wheel so , although this is not like a big, gas-powered curb jumping unit, you have the option of attacking a curb edge from either the blade side or other side of the edger, so you can get real close to a Belgian block curb. I also did the edge where my grass meets my mulched flower bed, but that was more of a trimming than a edge removal. Overall, the Work edger did as good, or better, a job than my string trimmer, and I didn't have to stop every few minutes to rewrap string. Plus it trenched enough to give me a definitive edge, whereas the string edger just cuts into the grass, not a real trench.

Does the job!
Puts in the work! Knocked out my driveway no problem. Unsure about longevity but it’s great for a homeowner. Easy to assemble. Easy to use. Adjustment is nice along with the guide plate.

Easy to use for a clean looking cut!
I do wish there was a cordless version but I'm so glad I bought this. It took some time to edge everything the first time because I had to cut the lines but it's been a breeze ever since. I just walk the perimeter of the yard and driveway and it does it's job with ease. The front wheel has three settings which determines how far down the blade cuts and the blade has two settings for edging or trenching. The handle is stationary but it can be lifted up or down. There's a guideline on top of the blade guard that helps identify where the blade is going to make the cut. TIP: Lean it back on the back wheels before pulling the trigger and slowly bring it down because it will jump if the blade isn't lined up and touches the concrete. It doesn't roll well in the grass but it's very smooth when rolled on the concrete. It's definitely worth having to give a clean and finished look. It's well built and isn't too heavy but definitely has some weight to it. It's only loud when the blade hits the concrete otherwise it sounds like a drone. The only complaint I have is that I have to watch the cord closely other than that it's the perfect tool to give a clean look to the yard.

Great tool, well worth the money!
I'm thrilled and pleased with the Worx edger. I bought it because it's electric, cheaper than other styles and I don't have to fool with a 2 stroke engine. I bought Worx, because it has a good guide to help me keep the blade away from the sidewalk, as well as a white mark on the housing to give a general idea of where the blade was. Also I thought it seemed to have a good engine. Now I'm sure it has a good engine. I looked at 3 other comparable trimmers, and because of the guide and engine, chose Worx. I read the 1 star reviews, many of the 5 star reviews and in between, as well as all the specifications I could. One of the competitors was attractive to me, but the 1 stars indicated there was a small tendency for the engine to quit. There were many less reviews for most of the models and many for that one, but I chose this one for the same amperage of engine, but less HP, which might, in my mind, over-work the engine which would account for it being ruined. One had a better warranty, but Amazon offered 2 more years for about $750, so I upgraded the warranty to 4 years,I have Tall Fescue grass in sandy loam soil in SE Wyo because of drought resistance, and it's a Northern grass). The grass is taller and tough as well as more in clumps. The ground probably is much easier to work than clay. The edger handled the tall grass ok, with all the clippings which had accumulated. I It was a long hard job to do the first trimming, and I was impressed with the 'Worx. I tried not to work it harder than necessary but it took more than 5 or 6 hours of work. I used the blade down almost to the long hole marker and had parts of 2 teeth left. It worked well; didn't clog; had power. Didn't ruin the engine. Didn't work me hard! I had to tighten the blade after about 10 feet, but only that once. In one area I had to run it on the wrong side, with the wheels on the grass. It worked ok, but worked much better where it was possible to put the wheels on the cement, and thus use the guide! It would be nice to be able to move the handle and the guide to the other side instead of the way I did it. The cord holder worked poorly for a 3 wire 12 gauge extension cord, but worked fine when I got out the smaller 14 g. The metal trimmer guide that helps hold the blade away from the side walk pulls up for use of the edger as a trencher. My lawn looks terrific. The blades were MUCH more expensive than the B & D; so before I bought Worx, I searched the internet and found an electric company which had a 3 pack of original equipment blades for it for $28, and on sale for $22. I scored on the tool, and on the blades! PTL!!
