Basic How To: Blanket Safe Water-Repellent Application
Wash your blanket, spray on your clean wet blanket, and AIR DRY ! NO HEAT required. As always, you should never, and I mean NEVER dry your horse blanket in a dryer, even on low heat. What is great, is that there is no need. This product cures during dry time, and usually takes between 48-72 hours.
Once this product is dry it is not harmful to pets or kids! It usually lasts between 9-12 months depending on age and wear and tear of blanket!
**Keep in mind that Blanket Safe is not a heavy duty treatment and contains no wax or silicone. It is perfect for modern day fabrics, however on extremely worn fabrics, destroyed waterproofing, or those with a very low denier, Blanket Safe may not respond as well and is not guaranteed to adequately provide water impermeability for long periods of time or rain.
Our water-repellents work best as a yearly treatment. Blanket Safe will to help increase, maintain and condition the factory applied waterproofing of your horse blanket, and allow it to protect you horse longer. However, it will not excel in restoration of waterproofing of items destroyed or no longer waterproof.
Depending on the size of blankets a 32oz bottle will work on 5-8 Blankets. Spray liberally and allow to sit, may rub in excess. Concentrate makes max 3 Gallons of Ready to Use (some prefer to adjust to their own concentration).
