A masterful hybrid airplant by Paul Isley combining two crown jewels of the Tillandsia world: the majestic T. xerographica, known for its sculptural form and drought tolerance, and the elegant T. rothii, celebrated for its dense silvery trichomes and spectacular blooms.

Parentage: Tillandsia xerographica  × Tillandsia rothii

Key features:

  • Dramatic rosette form with gracefully arching leaves
  • Intermediate grey-green coloration reflecting both parents
  • Impressive size potential inherited from T. xerographica
  • Enhanced water retention capabilities from both species
  • Complex inflorescence combining parental traits

The specimen in the image showcases the hybrid's stunning form - a perfect symmetrical rosette with broad, elegantly curving leaves that create a living sculpture. Each leaf displays the characteristic silvery-sage coloration, a beautiful intermediate between T. xerographica's grey-white and T. rothii's deeper green. The dense trichome coverage creates a frosted appearance that catches and reflects light beautifully.

Collector's note: This hybrid represents a pinnacle of Tillandsia breeding, combining T. xerographica's renowned drought tolerance and architectural form with T. rothii's enhanced water absorption capabilities. The parent species are both from Central America but adapted to different microclimates, resulting in a hybrid that's both hardy and spectacular.

Ideal for:

  • Serious Tillandsia collectors
  • Architectural plant enthusiasts
  • Contemporary indoor landscapes
  • Exhibition displays

Display recommendation: Mount 'Best in Class' where its dramatic form can be viewed from all angles - suspended in a bright space or displayed on a pedestal to showcase its perfect symmetry.

Elevate your collection with 'Best in Class' - a living testament to the art of Tillandsia hybridization that truly lives up to its name.

Really not for aggressive chewers
Flavor Name: Bacon-2Pcs, Size: Medium/Large-under 60LBS
My 4 year old doodle is a very aggressive chewer. I am always looking for chew toys that will last longer than a day these did not!

Great dog bones
Flavor Name: Variety Flavored, Size: Small-under 20LBS
My dogs really like these bones. They are a very durable material and easy for the dogs to hold onto while they chew. They are resistant to the chewing and don’t fall apart. They keep my dogs entertained and happy.

NOT for Aggressive Chewers.
Flavor Name: Bacon Flavored, Size: Medium/Large-under 60LBS, Flavor Name: Bacon Flavored, Size: Medium/Large-under 60LBS
I received 2 of these on May 6th and gave 1 to my Golden retriever then gave my Miniature Heeler the second 2 days ago on May 10th. This image is taken on May 12th. It’s too soft to be labeled for Aggressive chewers because with other bones I have previously purchased the bones have been lasting forever. Which has me concerned about how much plastic-like material they’re consuming. I don’t recommend this one for Aggressive or even Moderate chewers.

JoviQ Dog Chew Toys for Aggressive Chewers
Flavor Name: Bacon-2Pcs, Size: Medium/Large-under 60LBS
These dog chews have been some of my dogs favorites for a few weeks now! They've managed to work a whole end off the t-bone already which is a bit surprising, usually these types of bones take them much longer to make that much 'progress' on so I think these are a bit on the softer side as far as plastic bones go! Otherwise they've worked well for my must-chew-everything dogs and haven't caused any problems (I fully expect them to eat small bits of plastic with these but its that or the walls and carpet so..)
