Herb Description

Achillea is a breathtakingly beautiful herb that will add a touch of elegance to any garden. With its delicately leaved stalks and striking cream-colored flowering heads, this aromatic yarrow is sure to impress. Not only is Achillea visually appealing, but it is also a practical addition to any bouquet, as its feathery grayish-green leaves dry quickly. However, with a height of up to three feet, Achilleas may require staking to maintain their posture. The variety of Achillea Millefolium offers ranges from pure white to soft cream, making it the perfect centerpiece for any garden.

The plant Achillea millefolium, commonly known as yarrow, has been used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. Its astringent and anti-inflammatory properties have made it a valuable herb in treating various ailments. The herb was named after the Greek hero Achilles, who is said to have used it to heal and strengthen his soldiers' wounds. It was also referred to as "herbal militaris" due to its use on the battlefield. Native Americans also held the herb in high regard and used it to treat toothaches, earaches, cuts, bruises, burns, and more, calling it "life medicine." Apart from these traditional uses, Achillea millefolium has been used to cure colds, respiratory infections, inflammation, and eczema. It is interesting to note that salicylic acid, an ingredient in Aspirin, is extracted from the plant. Additionally, drinking yarrow tea has been found to alleviate allergy symptoms.

Although it can be used as a culinary herb, cooking may bring out its bitterness. Fresh leaves pair well with fruit or can be finely chopped for salads.

Yarrow Plants

The most beneficial part of the Achillea, 'Yarrow' plant for medicinal purposes, is its flowering heads, with the Millefolium variety being the most potent. It is an excellent companion plant that not only improves the health of neighboring plants but also repels unwanted pests and attracts predatory insects that feed on larvae.
Additionally, its chemical properties can enhance poor soil quality and boost nearby plants' welfare. Similar to Comfrey, Achillea 'Yarrow' plants can also be used as a fantastic fertilizer and compost additive.

CAUTION: Should not be ingested by pregnant women or children

Great toy!!
Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug
Love, LOVE, LOOOVVVEEE this toy!! Finally, an actual indestructable toy for my super chewer!! As others have said, the little rope thing came off in less than an hour, LOL. But the 'Corn cob' is great!! My baby LOVES this thing and chews on it constantly and it shows no sign of wear!! I am optmistic that it will actually last more than a month.

Tough chewers favorite toy
Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug, Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug
This has become my dog’s favorite toy! It looks just like a corn on the cob! The toy itself is very durable. The rope that was attached got torn off within hours though. After much use, it still looks brand new minus the rope!

From Puppy Teething to Adult Favorite – 7 Years Later
Color: Teething Stick, Color: Teething Stick
This has been one of the best toys I’ve ever bought! My dog has loved the Pupstages Cool Teething Stick since she was a tiny puppy, and now at 7 years old, it’s still one of her absolute favorites. It’s been amazing for soothing teething when she was little, and now she still enjoys chewing on it and carrying it around. It’s held up surprisingly well over the years, especially considering how much use it’s gotten. I also love that you can cool it for extra relief—it really helped during those puppy stages. If you’re looking for a toy that lasts and actually becomes a long-term favorite, this is definitely it. Highly recommend for both puppies and even older dogs who still love a good chew! 🐶
