During the warm summer months, Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Gold Nugget' is a fresh, lime-green color. It is during the colder months of winter into early spring that 'Gold Nugget' becomes the star of the rock garden. As the weather turns chilly, the rosettes begin to turn yellow. From late winter into early spring, 'Gold Nugget' glows a brilliant gold color, with each leaf tipped with electric orangy-red. To see Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Gold Nugget' in its full neon glory is definitely an OMG experience!! Like the Hen & Chicks you're familiar with, Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Gold Nugget' is easy to grow in a sunny spot with average, well drained soil. Excellent in hot, dry situations and perfect in rock gardens, troughs, vertical gardens, and succulent container gardens. Size runs wear!

The ankle area is super tight so it’s hard to put them on and harder to take them off. They run big because I wear a size 6 and these fit like a half size bigger. Returning them!

The struggle is worth it

It is a true struggle to get my feet into these. I bought size 12, and you would think they'd scale up the opening for larger foot sizes, but no. I feel like I'm going to rip the tag off every time I have to stretch them out to get them on. So far they have held up. (Tip: start with your foot sideways, then rotate the shoe once you get it in halfway to the heel.)
That said, these shoes are beautiful and comfortable (once you get them on). They're warm, and they perform well on the snow (after waterproofing).
