A beautiful Japanese-inspired way to display plants without a traditional pot. Each kokedama is carefully wrapped in sphagnum moss to form a natural living moss ball, creating a simple and sculptural look that works beautifully in any indoor space.

Our kokedamas come with a small terracotta watering plate, making care easy. Simply add water to the plate and allow the moss ball to absorb what it needs.

Most of our kokedamas feature fern varieties, which thrive in this environment, but we’re also happy to accommodate other plant varieties if you have something specific in mind.

These living moss balls make a unique addition to shelves, coffee tables, desks or plant displays, and also make a thoughtful gift for plant lovers.

Sizes

Small – 2 to 3 plant plugs combined into one kokedama.
Approx. terracotta plate 11 cm diameter and around 20 cm tall overall. Height may vary slightly depending on the plant variety.

Medium – 4 to 5 plugs combined, sometimes featuring multiple compatible varieties.
Approx. terracotta plate 14 cm diameter and roughly 25–30 cm tall overall.

Large – 7 to 8 plugs with a mix of compatible plant varieties.
Approx. terracotta plate 16 cm diameter and roughly 30–40 cm tall overall depending on the plant variety.

Watering

Add water to the terracotta plate around twice a week, allowing the moss ball to absorb moisture. Water less frequently during cooler months.

Over time the moss ball can be refreshed or replanted, allowing the kokedama to keep evolving.

Worst Experience of my Life
My Epson printer had problems with it's software in early mid April, while trying to resolve the software glitch which I could not, I found that every picture I had scanned for some time had lines running through it and no cleaning process or other process that Epson had would get rid of it, and everything I had scanned for my project, was ruined. I sent the machine to Asurion following their instructions and explaining the issues. They sent it back to me after a month saying they had double checked and fixed everything, I spent some time setting it all back up, only to find that exactly the same two issues were still present and the machine was unusable. I sent in a second request, this time they sent it back to me a month later saying they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Hooked it up again, same problem. I complained numerous times asked for them to warranty the item; they would not unless I sent it back to them and they kept it and then they would give me a credit on my amazon account to buy a new one. I packed it up and drove to UPS a third time and mailed it back to them, after about three weeks they sent me a note that they had it and that they were sending it back to me as they couldn't find anything wrong. Three times I ha filled out their entire sheet with product, date of purchase, problems detailed, receipts, picture of the lines in the photos that it was making over all the scanned photos. Then after two weeks of back and forth they sent me a message telling me they couldn't warranty it until I filled all this information out again on line. Then they told me they couldn't read the tiny print off the receipt printed off the Amazon site, which I cannot change. I then blew up the receipts and circled everything and sent it back to them again...of course they already had now five copies of this same information, they had paid for postage three times to NY and back to fix it and they still aren't able to process a payment to me????? Finally I get a call from a gentleman telling me that I will have a credit to my Amazon Card in 72 hours. Great. Then he calls me back the next day and says the warranty team has decided they would not warranty the item and credit me but they will mail me a check in 7 to 10 days. After over four months of this I received a check...will it bounce? I don't know yet. My project that I was working on was for my mother's Celebration of Life, I could not do what I wanted to do for her, this caused me emotional pain, as well as the obvious frustration of four months of aggravation and complete and total ineptitude on their part.
