This is a robust, highly textured climbing Aroid. Its most distinctive feature is its rough or warty petioles (leaf stems). The leaves are large, thick, and heart-shaped (cordate), dark green, and can develop prominent venation.

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to encourage robust growth and rich color. Avoid direct, harsh afternoon sun.
  • Temperature: This tropical species thrives in warm, consistent conditions, ideally in the range of 65-85°F (18-29°C). It is sensitive to cold and should be protected from temperatures dropping below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: High humidity is critical for this plant, with 60-80% being ideal to encourage the development of its signature textured petioles and large leaves.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top 1 inch (2.5 cm) of the chunky, well-draining soil mix feels dry to the touch. It requires consistent moisture but is highly susceptible to root rot if the soil remains soggy.

Additional Notes

The "cf." designation indicates that this specimen is closely compared to the typical P. asperatum, but its exact taxonomic identity may not be definitively confirmed. The plant is considered toxic if ingested.

If you're a fan of the Simpsons' neighbor, this will certainly tickle your funnybone. Good old left-handed Ned tells and shows all, God bless him.

Perfect holiday gift for the Simpsons fan in your life!
Format: Paperback
This slim little volume features everything you'd ever want to know about one of your favorite Simpsons characters, Homer. The book opens with a timeline reviewing all the significant milestones in Homer's life, from his childhood antics with friend Barney to many of the family trials which have been chronicled on the show. The various "Homer's Haunts" sections describe in detail some of Homer's most-visited sites, including the nuclear power plant and (of course) Mo's. Also featured are significant people in Homer's life, from his workplace friends and enemies to the people who have almost ruined his marriage (eg, Jacques, Mindy). You'll also get a review of his many, many jobs as well as countless food-related references (including "Things That Sound Like Food but Aren't"). Finally, the book begins and ends with Homer's Top 40 and his Bottom 40, respectively. A great stocking stuffer for any die-hard Simpsons fan!

Small but great book!
Format: Hardcover
It came with a little tear in the book cover. It's a nice little book for Simpson's fans. Please keep in mind that this book is small. It could almost fit in the back pocket of a pair of jeans.
