Moonlight Satin Pothos (Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight')

Moonlight Satin Pothos is a modern, low-maintenance houseplant that brings a clean, silvery look to your space. The thick, satin-finished leaves reflect light softly, so it reads bright and polished even in simple planters. It is an easy choice for busy routines because it prefers to dry slightly between waterings and stays attractive year-round. If you want a sleek, durable plant with a calm, designer feel, Moonlight is a strong pick.

Distinctive Features

This Scindapsus is prized for its elongated, thick leaves coated in a silvery green sheen that looks almost metallic in good light. The foliage has a more solid, uniform color than many patterned pothos types, giving it a clean, contemporary feel that pairs well with minimalist decor. It typically grows as a vining plant that can trail from a pot or be trained upward for a fuller, more structured display. Its value is all about texture and tone, delivering a refined indoor look without complicated care.

Growing Conditions

  • Sun: Bright, indirect light is best, and it tolerates medium light with slower growth.
  • Soil: Use a well-draining indoor potting mix and a container with drainage holes.
  • Water: Water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry, then drain excess water from the saucer.
  • Humidity: Average indoor humidity works well, and higher humidity supports faster growth.
  • Temperature: Keep in typical indoor temperatures and protect from cold drafts.

Ideal Uses

  • Focal Point: Use as a focal point on a shelf or side table where the silvery leaves can catch the light.
  • Desk and Counter Decor: Add a polished, low-fuss plant to workspaces and high-traffic rooms.
  • Hanging and Trailing Displays: Let vines trail gently from a pot for a soft, modern cascade.
  • Climbing Accent: Train onto a pole or trellis to create a fuller, more vertical statement.
  • Minimalist Plant Styling: Pair with clean containers and neutral decor for a calm, designer look.

Low Maintenance Care

  • Watering: Let the potting mix dry slightly between waterings, since this plant prefers to avoid constantly wet soil.
  • Light Management: Keep in brighter indirect light for steadier growth and the most luminous leaf finish.
  • Pruning: Trim vines to shape the plant and encourage a fuller look over time.
  • Feeding: Feed lightly in spring and summer to support healthy growth and larger leaves.
  • Leaf Care: Wipe leaves occasionally to keep the satin sheen clean and improve light capture.

Why Choose Moonlight Satin Pothos?

  • Sleek Silver Foliage: Thick leaves with a satin finish create a bright, modern indoor look.
  • Easy-Care Routine: Prefers drying slightly between waterings and fits busy schedules.
  • Versatile Growth Habit: Trails neatly or climbs for a fuller, more structured display.
  • Year-Round Style: Evergreen foliage keeps rooms looking polished in every season.
  • Great for Clean Aesthetics: Pairs naturally with minimalist decor and neutral planters.

If you want a durable houseplant with a calm silver tone and simple care, Moonlight Satin Pothos is an excellent choice. Give it bright, indirect light, let the soil dry slightly between waterings, and train it to trail or climb as it grows. It is a reliable way to add a refined, finished feel to your home with very little effort.

History at its best
This comprehensive history of early Virginia persuasively argues that slavery and racism contributed to the American notions of freedom and democracy for those not enslaved. Although first published in 1975, one would never guess that just from reading it. Morgan's argument emerges from such a careful reading and analysis of primary sources that it remains as important today as it was a quarter century ago. The book also provides valuable insights into many subjects other than slavery, including economic and political relations between Virginia and England, early interactions with Native Americans, and changing colonial and British notions of labor and class. Highly recommended on any of these issues.

Fasten your seat belt!
Format: Paperback
The eye-opening journey this non-fiction book offers is not fun, if you are any kind of human being at all. The historical detail and background information is great. The organization makes it easy to understand the complex and entangled events that were happening then and which molded colonial Virginian society, which in turn we inherited. Highest quality scholarship. Dreadful and stomach-turning subject matter. I wish I read this years ago.

Like you have a choice
Format: Hardcover
If you’re buying this, there’s a good choice it’s an assigned text and you have zero choice in the matter. I can say, this one is nowhere near as well written as the Aspen Torts and Civ Pro books. I often read passages in this book and shake my head because it’s so confusing. Property is tough, this book makes it worse.
