The photo below was taken by Mary Sue Ittner near Middelpos in the Roggeveld. This plant is typically different from the other ones in cultivation in having a reddish pedicel.
Origin and Habitat: Endemic to the southern part of Sierra de San Luis (Argentina, Province of San Luis) within a radius of only 20 km.
