Unlike variegated plants that have distinct patches of white, 'Platinum Mist' features a consistent, minty-silver sheen across the entire leaf surface. If your 'Platinum Mist' is strictly foliage and no flowers, try increasing the light intensity slightly. Those iconic white "flowers" (which are actually specialized leaves) need a bit of extra energy from the sun to make their appearance!

I have fair to light combination skin. I use this on my body, but not my face. It goes on very thick and white, but sinks into the skin lightning fast (within just a few seconds), and it becomes completely invisible. It leaves my skin moisturized and looking and feeling silky. Best body sunscreen I've ever tried. And I love that it is water resistant! I find it too heavy and moisturizing to use on my face, but people with dry skin would probably love it for the face, too. I imagine it would be fantastic for them under makeup. The price per ounce is very reasonable, making it a great value.

IT does protect from the sun.

It protects from the sun without a doubt and lasts well. The downsides are that it leaves a greasy and "white" residue that no matter how much you rub it in.....it stays there. I use it when I am working outside and not planning on going anywhere anytime soon.
