This one-of-a-kind tree stands apart from the rest. What you see in the photos are what you get, and there will never be another one like it.

I’m 'Metis' the Ginkgo, and I am a deciduous tree native to Asia. My leaves are fan-shaped and it was once believed I went extinct. I am considered one of the oldest trees on Earth! Through the summer, my leaves turn a deeper green and finally to a golden yellow in the fall before they drop.

I like morning sun and bright indirect light in the afternoon. Water me well every 5-7 days, even daily in the height of summer. In the winter, water as needed. The best way to water is to submerge my pot up to the rim for 5 minutes. I am an outdoor tree and should live outside year-round.

In winter I like to rest up outside in a protected spot from November until spring, when my baby leaves start to appear again. During the winter months, keep me in temperatures between 25 - 50 degrees Fahrenheit and protect from harsh winds.

Symbolism: As the last surviving member of the ancient ginkgo family, the Ginkgo biloba is a symbol of endurance, longevity, and the ability to withstand. In Feng Shui it carries the Metal element– tenacious, strong, and indestructible, echoing the resilient nature of the Ginkgo.

Pot Size*    XXLarge: 8"D x 5"H

Best series on the market
Format: Paperback
Every book in these series (Who Was, What Was, Where Is) is worth adding to your library. In my classroom they are the ones that have been read over and over. Students sign up to check out the newest releases even before they have arrived. I am collecting them all and have over 125 to date. So interesting, I read them as soon as they arrive.

Format: Paperback
Very good. Also includes some information on other aspects of Roman life besides just the uses of the Colosseum. Wish the author had given more details about the Colosseum itself - especially the system of pulleys and underground chambers.
