Chrysogonum 'Eco Lacquered Spider' was found by the son of the late plantsman Don Jacobs, in south central Georgia and first introduced by Eco Gardens in 1992. The color from the purple stolons runs into the base of the glossy green leaves. Chrysogonum australe 'Eco Lacquered Spider' is adorned with yellow flowers in spring.
