CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but MUST be diffused light. Here lies the main secret to this plant’s performance: for 'Melanochrysum' to grow increasingly larger leaves and maintain its deep, velvety tone, it requires a lot of light (it will especially enjoy gentle morning or late evening sun rays). However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun, which will instantly burn its precious, delicate velvet leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is the perfect choice.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very thoughtful. Philodendrons do not tolerate overly frequent watering or soggy roots. Allow the top layer of soil and the middle layer (at least the first third of the pot) to dry out thoroughly between waterings! The plant absolutely cannot tolerate standing water in the saucer or decorative pot, which will quickly cause sensitive root rot. Reduce watering significantly during the winter months.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A warmth-loving tropical resident (ideally +18°C to +25°C), which will be extremely happy with increased air humidity (above 55-60%). High humidity helps new leaves emerge easily, safely, and crack-free from their protective sheaths and reach their maximum size.
