If you love mid century modern design and Japanese gardens then you're in the right place. Our goal was to develop a planter that held the essence of this style of design and gardening. We wanted a planter with a minimal look, that enhanced the intermingling of the plants and planter. Thus making this stylish planter the perfect gift for someone who is into modern decor and mid century design.
One reason this design works so well with succulents is its flared out form of the planter. This form helps facilitate the soils ability to dry out quicker, avoiding root rot. We love to make miniature gardens with our succulents.
Japanese gardens don’t have to be large to hold its presence of elegance and beauty. Taking its cue from the bonsai garden, the island planter is perfect for creating a mini garden to convey a feeling of pleasure and serenity in the Japanese garden style.
Made from a custom concrete mix, that is super strong, allowing us to create thin lightweight planters only weighing just over 7 pounds. The mix also helps to create the smooth surface finish that makes this piece so unique.
Not sold in stores, our modern planters are all handmade. All of our products are made here in our home studio, where we make all the custom form work. We also do all of the casting, sanding, and finishing of each piece ourselves.
