*** READ BEFORE PURCHASING
Our Natural Canadian Sphagnum Moss is hand-harvested from pristine wetlands in Canada and arrives uncompressed, vibrant, and full of character. Known for its striking mix of green, red, and pink hues, this moss adds bold color and natural texture to terrariums, vivariums, pet habitats, and creative planting projects.

How to Bring Your Sphagnum Moss Back to Life:

Rehydrate: Soak in clean, non-chlorinated water for 10–20 minutes or mist thoroughly.
Set in Place: Drain excess water and place in a humid environment with indirect light.
Maintain Moisture: Mist regularly to retain color and lush texture.

Each 6 x 6 inch square is alive, but arrives in a dormant state, meaning it may appear dry at first, but rehydrates beautifully and comes back to life with moisture and care. Its soft, fluffy structure and vibrant tones offer a dramatic alternative to traditional beige mosses, making it a standout choice for living decor and eco-conscious habitats.

Perfect for orchids, terrariums, reptiles, or creative projects like bonsai and fairy gardens, this Canadian Sphagnum Moss is as functional as it is beautiful.

Key Features:

  • Natural & Revivable: Delivered in its natural, dormant state and uncompressed, allowing it to easily spring back to life with hydration and care.
  • Vibrant & Colorful: Showcasing stunning hues of green, red, and pink, this moss adds a colorful, natural touch to any project.
  • Eco-Friendly Canadian Harvest: Sustainably sourced from the untouched landscapes of Canada, providing a high-quality and eco-conscious product.
  • Versatile for Multiple Uses: Perfect for plant decoration, terrariums, vivariums, and reptile habitats. Also great for creative projects like fairy gardens and bonsai setups.
  • Excellent Moisture Retention: Naturally retains moisture, making it ideal for keeping plants, terrariums, and pet habitats hydrated and thriving.

Applications:

  • Gardening & Terrariums: Enhance the look and health of your orchids, succulents, and other plants with this live, natural moss.
  • Vivarium & Pet Habitats: Create a naturalistic environment for reptiles and amphibians with this moisture-retaining substrate.
  • Creative DIY Projects: Ideal for adding an authentic, living touch to projects like fairy gardens, bonsai displays, and more.

Disclaimer: This moss is a natural product, and each piece is beautifully unique. Slight variations in appearance and occasional traces of organic material are a part of its natural charm. We handle each order with care to bring you a fresh & authentic touch of nature.

Growing Requirements

For best results, please ensure the following conditions are met before installation:

  1. Acidic Soil – Moss thrives in acidic environments. Prepare the ground with rotting wood, pine needles, decaying leaves, or an acidifying garden product.

  2. Shade – Moss requires consistent shade and protection from direct sunlight. Dappled woodland shade, north-facing areas, or spaces beneath tree canopies are ideal. Full sun will stress or kill moss.

  3. Moisture & Irrigation – Moss needs a consistent water source, especially while establishing. An irrigation system, misting setup, or regular hand watering will help maintain humidity and prevent drying out.

A great way to know if your location is right for moss: if moss is already growing naturally in the area, your moss garden will likely do well.

First-Year Care Instructions

  • Keep moss consistently moist during the first 6–12 months while it establishes. Avoid letting it dry out completely.

  • Water daily in the beginning, then reduce to a few times a week once moss begins attaching.

  • Limit foot traffic until moss is firmly attached to the substrate.

  • Add more pine needles or organic matter seasonally to maintain acidity.

  • Remove fallen debris that may smother growth, but leave some natural organic matter for ongoing soil conditioning.

With proper care in the first year, moss will root securely and spread naturally, creating a lush, low-maintenance carpet.

Very versatile and durable dog toy
This is not a good toy to leave wit big dogs unattended. That being said it is a GREAT dog toy for households that have a variety size of dogs. Our Golden Retriever and 6 pound Pomeranian both play with it. Both retrieve it and occasionally share carrying it back to us. I know it will eventually get destroyed but that is what dog toys are for. Very durable and with the holes, it allows small dogs to pick it up as easily as larger dogs.

Keeps my dog busy
This works great for rolling treats up in fleece and putting them in the ball. The ball material is flexible and durable. This is a fun and engaging activity for when the weather prevents outside fun.

The best dog ball EVER!!!
Our 3 y.o. Mini Australian shepherd destroys every toy that she can. We can’t have any kind of cloth toys, including the heavy duty, triple stitched, fire hose Kong toys. We can’t have rope toys, even the balls. There are many rubber or silicone toys we also can’t have as she destroys them as well. She has 5 of these balls, some for over a year and they are still in GREAT shape. Left in the sun, rain, etc, they just hold up. They also don’t have a lot of surface area to hold slobber so your hand doesn’t get all wet. Heavy enough to still throw a fair distance, but light enough that the dog was fine the few times I’ve accidentally drilled her in the ass. These are the best.

The best dog ball!
I have bought about 8 of these balls now. Mostly because my dog looses his or I’m buying them for my other dog friends. I put a dog bone in it at dinner time and it keeps my dog occupied while I’m eating my dinner. He loves it and so do I! They also have different sizes. We recently got a bigger dog breed so I got the biggest one. He loves it as well! Worth every penny!
