This compact, dome-like strain found along the Front Range is especially dense and silvery-blue with bright golden flowers in late summer and fall. 'Baby Blue' rabbitbrush is an indispensable and indestructible native with multi-season interest. It thrives in full sun and withstands wind, cold, and drought. Annual shearing will promote a denser branching structure and increase flower production. Water as needed the first year to get your plant established; once established, if it receives too much water, it will likely need pruning to maintain a nice shape. It reseeds readily - deadhead and pull seedlings if you don’t want the plants to naturalize.
