Anthurium 'Michelle®' is a hybrid cultivar developed by Dr. Jeff Block, commonly known as Doc Block, a renowned American breeder specialising in Anthuriums. Named after his wife, this plant is an official tissue culture clone of the original 'Michelle' plant, ensuring genetic consistency. The plant is distinguished by its heart-shaped leaves that emerge in shades of burgundy-purple with reddish veins, maturing to dark green with a velvety sheen and contrasting white veins.

DocBlock® velvet-leaf Anthuriums are noted for their robust growth and distinctive appearance. Dr. Jeff Block selectively breeds Anthurium seedlings, introducing only those with the most favourable characteristics into the DocBlock line.
