Eggs are laid beneath the surface of tree branches, serving as a breeding ground for larvae to grow while feeding on the tree's sap. This causes the branch to swell and impedes sap flow, weakening the tree and marring fruit production. Lemon trees are particularly vulnerable, followed by orange, lime, and mandarin varieties.

Vasili's Garden Citrus Gall Wasp Spray 200g is composed of a super-refined form of kaolin mineral. When combined with water and sprayed over citrus trees, the effect of the spray is to form an impenetrable, white shield that prevents Gall Wasps from laying eggs on the tree.

Easy Application for Long-Lasting Protection

Frequent application (every 2-4 weeks) is key to maintaining complete coverage. Simply mix with water and spray thoroughly until the leaves are completely wet (runoff).

An easy way to apply is using flit sprayer attached to a repurposed water bottle. Repurposed spray bottles also do the trick.

When to Apply:

• Citrus Gall Wasp Prevention: Begin application in late Winter - early Spring when larvae emerge and egg-laying starts, and continue through early autumn.
• Heat Stress Protection: Spray whenever temperatures are expected to exceed 30 degrees Celsius.

Initial Application Instructions:

1. In a small container, blend 50g (approximately 3 tablespoons) of CGWS powder with 1 litre of water. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
2. Pour the mixture into your sprayer bottle, seal, and shake vigorously to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Repeat Application Instructions:

1. As the white residue weathers off, repeat treatment every 2-3 weeks (visually check when the spray is noticeably gone).
2. Mix 25g (approximately 1½ tablespoons) of CGWS powder with 1 litre of water, following the initial application instructions.
3. Reapply every 14 to 28 days, or depending on weather conditions.
4. Rinse your sprayer with water after each use.

Safety Precautions:
