  •  The 'Lavranos' variety is prized for its concentric, stacking leaves that grow in a tight rosette or fan shape. The foliage is incredibly rigid and features subtle horizontal banding and reddish-brown margins. Its miniature size makes it an ideal "desk plant" that provides a high-end, designer aesthetic without taking up much space.

Native to the arid regions of East Africa (specifically Somalia and Yemen).

While rare indoors, a mature Lavranos can produce a flower spike. The flowers are typically greenish-white or cream-colored and are surprisingly fragrant, often releasing a sweet scent at night.

  • Thrives in bright, indirect light but is famous for its ability to tolerate low light conditions. Avoid prolonged direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.

Extremely drought-tolerant. Water only when the soil is completely dry. In winter, reduce watering to once every few weeks. Rule of thumb: When in doubt, don't water.

Requires a well-draining succulent or cactus mix. It is prone to root rot if left in standing water or heavy, moisture-retaining soil.

Prefers warm environments between 65°F and 85°F (18°C–29°C). It does not like the cold; ensure it stays away from drafty windows or temperatures below 50°F.

This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.

Toxic to pets. Contains saponins which can cause nausea or vomiting if ingested by cats or dogs.
  • Zones 9-11 (primarily grown indoors in cooler climates).

Fun dog product
Style: S-Level 2
When I first got this, I loaded up the compartments and set it down for the dog – excited and interested to see what she would do. She looked at it smelled it walked away. Disappointed – after a few hours – I put it under a table where she has a little rug, she likes to lay on. The next day I could hear the little doors on the toy rattling and she got every single little treat. And she loves it. And it’s fun when she decides she wants a little snack that she doesn’t have to ask or beg for she goes to her little toy and takes one of the treats out of the holes. It surprises me she never tries to chew on it. And I haven’t figured out how to make it squeak yet, nor has the dog. But it’s something all for her and she loves it. And it cleans up easily too.

Great dog toy

I buy this on repeat for my dog. It was fun when he was just a puppy, learning. He loves it so much that I can now put treats or kibble in it, and since there are such positive associations with it, it's a great way to get him to eat.

Not for powerful breeds like Rottweilers to last long, otherwise yes!
Style: L-Level 4
My 7 month old Rottie just loses patience and tries to eat the buttons. My 9 year old Rottie figures it out in 5 minutes. This would be perfect for a less powerful dog but not sure it will keep them busy for longer than 10 minutes. Mental stimulation is very important so I’d still recommend

A fascinating and focused puzzle for my puppy
Style: S-Level 2
It is exactly what it is intended to do as a puzzle. My 6 months old puppy was fascinated and focused to figure it out. After 3rd time, it was too easy for him to slide them all open. It is still good for him to have fun with it.
