Vintage late 1930s / early 1940s dark red velvet dress.
MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
Bust - 36" *
Waist - 26"
Hips - full
Length - 42 1/2" (currently, but it needs the hem restitched)
*The top is meant to be a little blousey and should not be tight.
The dress has lovely off-white trim. It closes with snaps at the side and at the back of the neck.
Overall good condition, but it does have a few flaws. The hem is unfinished. There is a small hole near the hem (can be hidden when taken up). A few loose seams and fraying at the neck (can be restitched fairly easily). It has a tie belt, but the belt is not in good shape (looks like some of the material was cut out in the center). The belt has a lot of fraying and wrinkles.
