Women's Sizes XS-3XL

This sewing pattern pays homage to the tea gowns of the Edwardian era, evoking the elegance and sophistication of the early 20th century.  The gracious life of the proper Edwardian lady demanded different fashions for different times of the day. Tea gowns were worn during the later afternoon, marking the time between daywear and eveningwear. They were immensely popular because women could put the tight corsets aside for several hours and enjoy the comfort of these loose-fitting, casual styles of soft layered fabrics, yet still be tastefully presentable for visitors.

Our Afternoon Tea Dress, inspired by the Edwardian tea gowns from 1912-13, is adaptable to any occasion or time of day. Whether made as a sumptuous wedding gown, feminine maternity fashion, slinky nightclub number, or tops for everyday, the versatile elements add up to a memorable impression. The Dress features an optional drape that is artfully arranged at center front and held in place with shirred Belt. The easy-sew Bow can be attached at the front or back of the Belt for further ornamental texture. The Sweetheart Tunic wraps in front and can be held in place with Belt or Bow. The ruffled-sleeve Pullover Tunic can be worn belted or hanging straight.  These tops are also wonderful on their own, or worn as modern everyday wear.

This pattern is huge, with 4 garment and accessory patterns included, as well as detailed cutting and sewing instructions and 4 pages of professional tips for sewing success.

Suggested Fabrics:
Dress, Drape, Belt, Bow: Silk Polyester satin, brocade, jacquard; lightweight silk or rayon velvet.

Not the best, but not the worst either
Format: Hardcover
By any means not the funniest book in the series, only the one on Krusty the Clown was more un-funny; but still a worthy addition to your collection and, just like all the others from the series providing a retrospective of anecdotes you might have forgotten.

Not that great
Huge "The Simpsons" fan. I watched all the episodes and read a lot of the comics and enjoy most. This one however was quite boring. Turns out I'm just not a big fan of Chief Wiggum. I really enjoyed The "Homer" and "Bart" book. But not this one. Maybe if you love Wiggum you'll love it. If you're not too fond of him then I wouldn't buy it.

Good for my collection.
Format: Hardcover
This was another quick and entertaining read. This instalment wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other books but it was still good. I'm glad to have it in my collection.
