These ultralight carbon poles are designed to fit the SplitWing Tarp and SplitWing Bundle and eliminate the need to carry trekking poles. Great for bikepackers, paddlers, and hikers who just don't use poles.
There are two pole set options: fixed-length and adjustable. Both sets include a head pole and 20.5" foot pole. The foot pole is the same for both sets.
Which poles should I buy?
Fixed Length ($70, 3.8oz): This pole set consists of two fixed-length carbon poles. The front pole is the correct length to pitch the SplitWing Bundle (tarp + mesh body/vestibule). It's cut a little long so you have some adjustability on uneven ground. Simply angle the front pole slightly to one side to reduce the effective height. Smaller packed size than the adjustable set. This may be the best option for you if:

You want the lightest possible pole set
- You don't feel the need to adjust the height/width of the tarp
- You usually pitch the tarp with the mesh body (not by itself)
Adjustable ($85, 4.9oz): This pole set consists of an adjustable-height front pole and a fixed-length rear pole. This setup retains the SplitWing Tarp's ability to be pitched at multiple heights and is great for people who often use the tarp by itself and want as much flexibility as possible. It may be the best choice for you if:
- You want maximum versatility
- You often use the tarp without the vestibule or mesh body
- You frequently pitch the tarp on uneven ground
