FAQs

What size compression sack should I use for my sleeping bag?
Generally speaking, the colder rating on your bag, the larger compression sack (or stuff sack) you'll need.

Temperature rating Recommended volume
40° 6-8 liters
20° 8-12 liters
14-20 liters
-20° 22-30 liters

Synthetic-insulation sleeping bags will also compress less than down-insulated, so make sure to size up by 5-15 liters if that's what you're packing.

Can you put a tent in a compression sack?
Compression sacks are typically designed for compressing soft items like sleeping bags, clothing, or blankets rather than rigid structures like tents. Tents are generally packed into stuff sacks or carry bags that are designed to accommodate their shape and size without compressing the tent poles or fabric excessively. Attempting to compress a tent in a compression sack meant for softer items could potentially damage the tent's structure or fabric. Therefore, it's recommended to use the appropriate packing methods and bags designed specifically for tents to ensure they remain in good condition and ready for use.

How to fit a sleeping bag into a compression sack?
Fitting a sleeping bag into a compression sack (or stuff sack) efficiently involves a few steps to maximize space and ensure effective compression:

  1. Prepare the Sleeping Bag: Ensure your sleeping bag is clean and dry. Loosen any drawstrings or cinch cords that may restrict compressibility.
  2. Fold or Roll: Depending on the type of compression sack (some are roll-top, others have a zippered closure), fold or roll your sleeping bag compactly. Rolling tends to be more space-efficient for down sleeping bags, while folding might work better for synthetic ones.
  3. Insert into the Sack: Open the compression sack wide and carefully insert the folded or rolled sleeping bag. Ensure the bag is positioned evenly inside the sack.
  4. Adjust the Straps: Most compression sacks have straps or cords on the sides. Start tightening them evenly, starting from the bottom and working your way up. This helps in compressing the sleeping bag uniformly.
  5. Compress Gradually: As you tighten the straps, press down on the top of the sack to expel excess air. This helps in achieving maximum compression.
  6. Secure the Closure: If the compression sack has a roll-top closure, roll it down tightly and secure it with the buckle or fastener. If it's zippered, zip it shut securely.
  7. Test and Adjust: After compressing, lift the sack and check if it feels evenly compressed. You may need to adjust the straps further to achieve the desired compression level.

Comfortable and Classic Dress Shoes That Look Great All Day
Size: 12, Color: Cognac
These dress shoes have been a great addition to my wardrobe. Right out of the box, they felt comfortable thanks to the cushioned foam insole. I can wear them for long days at work or events without my feet feeling sore, which is something I really appreciate. The faux leather upper looks polished and well-made. The cap-toe design and subtle contrast stitching give the shoes a classic, professional appearance that pairs perfectly with dress pants or a suit. They have a clean, timeless style that never feels outdated. The fit is true to size, and the lace-up closure provides a secure and adjustable fit. I also like the stability of the stacked heel and the non-slip sole, which gives me confidence when walking on different surfaces. Overall, these shoes deliver both comfort and style. They look sharp, feel supportive, and hold up well with regular use. I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, classic dress shoes.
