About x Graptoveria' Margaret Rose'
x Graptoveria' Margaret Rose', also known as x Graptoveria 'Norma', is a hybrid combination of Graptopetalum Amethystinum and Echeveria lilacina. With fatty foliage clusters around, it features a short-stemmed rosette, forming its gorgeous princess appearance, which perfectly matches its name, Margaret Rose. Every succulent leaf possesses a tiny pointed tip and is dressed with a thick epicuticular wax coating. Its colorful exterior, mainly characterized with yellow for old peripheral leaves and lavender hue and pink for inner ones, extraordinarily fascinates many succulent friends.
How to care for x Graptoveria' Margaret Rose'
Sun/Temperature: By providing sufficient sunshine and appropriate temperature swing, x Graptoveria' Margaret Rose' can thrive with a more compact and plumper rosette. Furthermore, its gradational color can be more vibrant from the inside out. But pay attention not to overexposing the plant and providing shade in summer, or it may get sunburned and destroy its beauty. Also, it would help if you put it indoors when the heat is below 32 F for its weak frosty resistance.
Location: Settle the succulent in a ventilated place with full sunlight. It can also be nurtured outdoors in spring and fall, and keep it out of your house as far as possible. A stuffy condition is forbidden.
Soil/Pot: Choose loose soil media for your succulent to create good, draining growing surroundings. Turf, granular soil, and gritty maifanitum stones are strongly recommended! A higher proportion of granular soil is needed. When winter is approaching, you should be aware of adding extra fertilizers in spring. Don't worry about damaging the roots when re-potting: the plant tolerates disturbance well.
Watering: Follow the principle of "dry and soak," and never excessively water, and moisten the soil in case of rot. It's advisable to water the succulent along the edge of the pot instead of pouring water towards its roots directly. Whenever in summer or winter, the amount of water should be reduced.
