Another great product from Guana Equipment. This excellent waterproof 270-degree awning was inspired by the Morpho Butterfly, a very unique butterfly found in the Costa Rican rainforest. It is a universal, sturdy, and easy-to-install awning that will make your next overlanding trip a lot more fun.

This awning provides amazing shade and even great protection from any precipitation where you and your fellow campers can sit down and relax. But what if the temperature is too low or the wind is just too powerful?

Well, this awning can be complemented by the walls which are available separately but we'll get to that in a minute. So without further ado let's take a look at it and see what makes it the best 270 awning on the market.

Universal 270 Awning

This 270 awing is universal meaning it will fit all vehicles and all roof racks as long as you have L brackets attached to them. It does however work best with longer vehicles and vehicles that have a camper shell on top of their truck bed.

In order for this 270 awning to stretch all the way around the vehicle as it was designed to it is best to have a full-length roof rack installed or if you happen to have a 3/4 rack or even a half size be sure to mount it on the end of your vehicle or even on the camper shell.

Installing it is a breeze and it won't take too long to do it. As it is pretty lightweight you could install it by yourself but having another set of hands is never a bad thing. Closing it and putting it away will also take you a few minutes.

Best 270 Awning

This 270 awning is made out of ripstop 420D polyester which is durable enough to survive all weather conditions. It also has double-stiched seams as well as a reinforced corner made out of PVC membrane to prevent tearing and water leakage.

Now, this awning can't stand on its own, rather it needs to be supported by the telescoping poles that are included with it. They are made out of aluminum and they can stretch out to more than 7 ft which covers a good variety of vehicle heights. Metal stakes are also included which you can use to secure the awning even more.

This awning can be installed on either the driver's side or the passenger's side and what's cool about it is that if you have a camper shell on your vehicle this awning with not interfere with your glass lift gate. 

The 270 degree awning sits inside the durable 680g/1200 PVC black travel cover when not in use. The frame of the awning itself is made out of aluminum and the outer frame poles have a 22.25mm thick aluminum construction.

270 Awning With Walls Available

Another great feature about this 270 awing is that you can install walls on it. The awning canvas has a velcro strip along the whole awning which is used to attach said wall to it. It takes a couple of minutes to do it and then you can sit back and relax.

The wall is made out of the same material as the awning itself and it is not divided into panels but rather is a single piece of fabric that stretches out all the way around the said awning. When put together it is similar to an annex and can even be used as one.

On each side of the awning (4 of them) there is an opening that can be opened and closed with a zipper and even has a mesh to stop any critter from entering inside it. You can also use the door canvas as a canopy! Each corner of the walls has a strap that you can use to stake the wall to the ground which will prevent the wind from moving them. Another cool thing is that you have a canvas door on the inside that you can use to access the back door of your vehicle.

This awning measures 92" long when closed. If you have a midsized or small vehicle it will work with the proper rack but it will overhang towards one end***
