This new model features a smaller and more manageable weight and size, ideal for players who struggle with space in their homes for electric pianos larger in size and still wanting a full 88-key experience.

The P-143B features Yamaha's newly developed GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) weighted keyboard offers true acoustic piano-like playing feel while able to be built into the smaller enclosure of the P-143B.

The P-143B features grand piano, electric piano, harpsichord, vibraphone, pipe organ, and strings voicings. Its grand piano voice is sampled from the exquisite tones of Yamaha's renowned CFIIIS concert grand piano, which served as the inspiration for their flagship concert grand, the CFX. Its brilliance and clarity is captured here in the P-143B.

Optional for the P-143B are a dedicated stand and damper pedal for a more authentic piano-like experience. Furthermore, the P-143 is equipped with a damper resonance feature that faithfully reproduces the lush, resonant tones produced when engaging the damper pedal, resulting in a more immersive audio experience.

The P-143B is also compatible with Yamaha's Smart Pianist digital piano app. This app, available for iOS and most Android devices, offers an expansive array of features for Yamaha keyboards. Users can adjust parameters such as venue reverberation, master tuning, and can layer voices of the P-143B depending on the selected register.
