Kalanchoe Pumilla is also known as the Flower Dust Plant. This succulent is native to Madagascar and is obovate shaped. Belonging to the family of Crassulaceae, you will see the plant becoming dormant in winter. It can grow up to 12 inches tall and has fleshy leaves.

Growth Rate

The growth rate of the plant is extremely slow and it can take about a year for the succulent to reach a height of 8 inches.

Flowering

Be ready to be showered with colorful and long-lasting flowers during the winter and spring seasons. These flowers are pink-violet.

Watering and Feeding

From fall to winter, watering should be moderate. Reduce watering in summers. Use liquid fertilizer to feed bi-weekly only during the season of growth.

Soil

Not much effort is needed to prepare the soil mix. Arrange a potting soil mix and you are good to grow your Kalanchae Pumilla.

Hardiness

Kalanchoe Pumilla is extremely winter hardy and can survive zones 9a through 11b. If the succulent is kept at a temperature of 12° C (54° F), it will experience the most wholesome growth ever. Remember its frost tolerance of 3.9° C (25° F).

Light

If you plant the succulent outdoors, plant it in an area that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Place the container next to a Southern facing window in a room with ample sunlight access if you are growing the plant indoors.

Propagation

The highest success rate of propagation is through stem cuttings. Use a sterile knife or scissors when you take out the stem from the main plant.

There is heavy emphasis on people management and almost none on any practical project management techniques. I am a YouTube follower of the authors book, and I purchased her book to take advantage of her real life experiences of flipping over 30 + houses. Because I had already purchased my first house I focused on Part 2 to help me organize my renovation, and revaluate my approach. The book is well written, reading flows, the notes, graphics that call out important details are well place, the models to follow are super useful and the resources are endless. There is an online digital resource that is extremely helpful too. There is so much in this book. I will come back and update as I get through it, but I can say this is an excellent purchase already well worth the money spent. I watch her YouTube channel, and review the online resources regularly, and carry this book with me as I am doing the work as I work, so taking all my spare time to study and review. Part 2 is where I am focus now since I am starting my renovation. I am doing a "cosmetic" renovation, and her advice about where to focus my budget has helped me decide where to start, what to buy (study comps online - I personally like Redfin, but Zillow too) and I already have a realtor I am working with, and was recommended a contractor by my agent. So - off to the races. It is a downturn market so I am taking my first flip slow, but in a few months I will update my review. I highly recommend buying the book, it is like an idiots guide to house flipping, but better....you have her YouTube channel, and the online resources too! Enjoy!!
