Note that the Dana 30 has a carrier split between 3.55 and 3.73. When changing from a higher (numerically lower) gear ratio to a lower (numerically higher) gear ratio, you will need a low ratio carrier. For example, if you currently have a Dana 30 with 3:55 or higher (3.07, 2.73, etc) gears and are swapping to a lower (3.73, 4.10. 4.56, etc) ratio, you will need a low ratio carrier #706008X.
