The Belter 14” bike gives our youngest pedalers everything they need to progress. It features a grease-free Gates Carbon Belt drivetrain for low maintenance and long-lasting durability. Constructed from lightweight, robust 6061-grade aluminum, it offers power transfer and comfort at an astounding 5.5kg. The bike's geometry ensures easy handling and control, while age-specific Tektro V brakes provide safe stopping. The 2” fast-rolling tires and advanced wheelset enhance stability and reduce maintenance, making it perfect for little adventurers.

Features

• Geometry to get kids moving: With kid-friendly geometry, this bike prioritizes comfort and control, so young riders avoid quick-tired legs, sore arms, and awkward descents. Early Rider gave the Belter 14” short rear stays for maneuverability. A relaxed head angle to safely roll over bumps and a precisely chosen handlebar position, high enough to be comfortable but low enough to optimize uphill pedal efficiency.
• Little levers, big stopping power: The Belter 14” features powerful, age specific Tektro V brakes with ultra short reach levers and light-pull actuation, making braking easy even for the smallest hands. Braking feedback is smooth and responsive, helping little ones learn what smooth stopping feels like, right from the start. The all-aluminum lever construction ensures the brakes aren’t at risk should the bike be dropped to the ground.
• Wheels that reset expectations: The Belter wheelset is built for sustained performance, helping little legs travel further and cope with more obstacles over and again. Early Rider was the first bike company to bring cartridge bearings and cassette hubs to any kids bikes. And with the game changing impact Early Rider's latest 4 bearing model has had on weight, friction and durability, they had no choice but to roll it out. Coupled with super light weight aluminum rims and cartridge bearing throughout, you can look forward to more of the riding you love, and less of the maintenance you don’t.
• Tires that keep you on track: The Belter 14 runs 1.95”, fast rolling tires as standard, so that developing riding skills is made easier, safer and more enjoyable than the 1.5" tires typically found on kids bikes. Their extra volume and grip provide added control over the lumps and bumps and give the cushioning that makes riding more enjoyable. 1.95” tires are also much more stable, especially in tricky conditions. With a bike that is more stable, you can shorten the rear triangle, and that improves handling and maneuverability making the bike more capable still.
• Touchpoints that elevate control: Every one of The Belter’s touchpoints, be that the bars, saddle, pedals or grips has been anatomically designed to properly fit and function for super small riders. Ritchey Logic have been at the forefront of component design for the past 50 years. Early Rider has collaborated with them for over a decade, producing some of the best age specific components to ever grace a kids’ bike.
  
• A 12.1 lbs. aluminum frame, beautifully crafted to last: Early Rider uses 6061-grade aluminum in their bikes. It's a fantastic material. Strong yet light, weatherproof and super robust. It’s also a responsive material transferring more power from the pedals to the wheels. In real terms, this means it’s easier to pedal further for longer. The benefit is a bike that literally goes the distance.
• A no rust, no fuss carbon drive train: The Gates Carbon Belt drive is just a brilliant piece of kit. It replaces the traditional steel chain and cassette with a robust, stretch resistant and best of all completely grease-free drivetrain. It’s easy to clean, requires almost no maintenance and is good for 20,000 km. Paired with a top-tier hyperglide freehub and aluminum sprockets, you get peak performance from a bike that’s always ready to ride.
