The unique "Morph" knob was intended to allow you to blend among the iconic tones of the ProCo Rat, the Boss DS-1, and the Arbiter Fuzz Face. How those classic pedals actually fit into the Hot Rod is hard to say, but throughout the settings, the XHR produces smooth, satisfying rock distortion.
Apart from the "Morph" knob, the remaining controls are straightforward: Level, Tone, and Gain. There's definitely a lot of versatility there. Plus, there's an additional output with cabinet simulation that will run directly into a mixer or recording interface.
This used DigiTech XHR Hot Rod Distortion shows some nicks and scratches, but nothing severe. It is missing the label on the underside. It functions 100% as it should.
