The FAT GENERAL MKII is an evolution of the critically acclaimed OTC-201 compressor. ThorpyFx and the original designer (Dan Coggins) have collaborated to deliver the next level of compression for guitarists. Unlike many other compressors, the FAT GENERAL MKII adds sustain and balance to your signal without unnecessary noise or signal “pumping”. You'll also notice that the FAT GENERAL MKII can be particularly transparent but with a sparkle and clarity that you were missing before. For me it has become an always on pedal, I cant play without it!

Aside from achieving fantastic sonic credentials the FAT GENERAL MKII is built like a tank with physical features such as recessed knobs and top mounted jacks. Robust build does not have to come at the sacrifice of looks, the FAT GENERAL MKII uses a combination of a beautiful stainless steel laser etched centre console wrapped in a tough baseplate.

Internally the premium sound is enhanced through the use of premium components all wrapped in a beautiful custom engineered enclosure.

This is sonically identical to the V1 version the V2 version has an anodised aluminium Black enclosure

Description:

From Adrian Thorpe:

The Fat General is our take on what a compressor should be. It is an evolution of Dan coggins original Otc-201 compressor. With knobs for sustain, blend and treble, it has the ability to squish without destroying your Guitars fundamental sound. There are two modes available, “Juicy” is a compressed signal with a small amount of dry signal blended into it. As the sustain knob increases the dry signal reduces. The “BLEND” mode introduces parallel blending so that you have more dry signal sitting parallel to the compressed signal but remaining full, fat and awesome. Rather than dulling your guitars signal you’ll find the treble control allows you keep and enhance the sparkle from your guitar.

    Very Disappointed
I own several watches and before buying this one I read about the quality of Tissot Luxury watches. The watch face isn’t bad but the band is very cheap looking especially on a $ 500 watch. I just expected more. I have quite a few $ 300 watches that are much more attractive.

    Top Quality Watch
I already owned two Two Tissot watches before I bought this beautiful watch, both of which I am very satisfied with. I have full confidence this watch will also be of high quality. Tissot uses the same movement and crystals as Swiss luxury watches, yet costs a fraction of the price. That’s makes this and other Tissot watches a bargain in my opinion.

    Tissot + orange = win
This is my first Tissot, and will certainly not be my last! I bought this at a store in Luzerne, Switzerland and the experience was everything I've come to expect from the Swiss - exceptional service, extreme pride in what they do, and excellent craftsmanship. While the watch is a little on the chunkier side, it's not overwhelming and the strap feels great. Every hand lines up perfectly with the markers and the chrono features are lightning fast and precise. I especially enjoy the subtle orange touches and pocked leather texture of the strap, both giving it its "basketball" name. Now if only they made a green variant with the Boston Celtics logo...
