Euphorbia flanaganii 'Medusa’s Head' is a fascinating and sculptural succulent named for its resemblance to the snake-covered head of the mythical Medusa. Native to South Africa, this plant forms a low, sprawling rosette of snake-like, cylindrical green stems that radiate outward from a central caudex, giving it a wild, tentacle-like appearance. It's a member of the Euphorbia genus, not a true cactus, and exudes a white, milky sap when cut, which is toxic and can be irritating to the skin and eyes.

Extremely drought-tolerant and easy to care for, 'Medusa’s Head' thrives in bright, indirect light or full sun and prefers well-draining soil, such as a cactus mix. Overwatering should be avoided, as the plant is highly susceptible to root rot. It can be grown indoors in a container or outdoors in arid, frost-free climates. Tiny yellow-green flowers often emerge at the tips of the stems during the growing season, adding to its otherworldly charm. Compact, low-maintenance, and visually unique, Euphorbia flanaganii 'Medusa’s Head' is a standout addition to succulent collections or xeriscape gardens.

Be aware that the sap of this plant is toxic and should not be touched by children or pets. If you happen to come into contact with the sap while handling the plant, wash your hands right away.

Please Note: Plant will ship bare root with little to no dirt, and you will receive a plant similar to the one in the photo.

A beautiful and affecting book
Format: Hardcover
A beautiful and affecting book. The civil war is, at least to me, deeply familiar, but this book focuses on the personal, and conveys with a painful immediacy the ways that the horror of this conflict infiltrated and transformed the day-to-day existence of our not-so-distant ancestors. I was struck as I have never been before by the degree to which the appalling, unprecedented violence of the conflict was "just around the corner" for familiar and modern-seeming Americans.

... our traditional textbook and primary sources) and my students LOVE it. Although it's not perfect
Format: Hardcover
I have started using this in my US history survey class (along with our traditional textbook and primary sources) and my students LOVE it. Although it's not perfect, it's a great complement to other sources and offers a terrific way to talk about alternate ways to interpret history. In addition, my 11 and 14 year old sons have also read it and enjoyed it, so it's accessible for a broad range of ages. And, as my students note in their final papers, it's fun to read, and how often do gen ed students say that at the end of the semester?

Carry on with the great writing Rachel Lacey while I look for my next bodyguard book
Format: Kindle
I'm on a bodyguard reading kick right now, only wlw of course. I read this one for the first time about a year ago and somehow, I didn't leave a review. ( I'm good at hopping from one book to another and forgetting to write one. oopsy) I loved the bodyguard part but as stories go I always hate someone's parent dying. ( too much like real life) I know it's necessary to show why Natalie is so effed up. Rachel wrote a great ending to this story and that is always a plus in my eyes.

cute and captivating
Format: Kindle
I really enjoyed the storyline and the emotional growth of the characters in this book. I’d been putting it off for a while but I’m glad I finally picked it up and took a chance on it because it was such a cute story.
