Sporting a black enclosure and design, the Shift Line Astronaut V3 is more than just another reverb pedal. It is the 3rd generation of an atmospheric powerhouse, which boasts a rich tonal palette and a huge range of sound! The Astronaut V3 pedal contains 22 varied algorithms, including extended versions of some from the Astronaut V1, V2, and the Shift Line Force, as well as an infinite sustain mode (Infinity Mode). Among other nice features are top-mounted jacks, switchable tails, a soft bypass switch, and a full-range wet/dry mix, with an option to go 100% wet.

BYPASS MODES:
Active bypass is used in the Astronaut III. The dry signal is completely unaffected. Due to the active bypass, there are no clicks in the sound, and three bypass modes are available:

• Tails: Only the input is engaged when the bypass switch is pressed. This way, reverb tails keep playing after the effect has been turned off.
• No tails, no input monitoring (standard mode): Both the input and the output are engaged when the bypass switch is pressed.
• Continuous input monitoring: Only the output is engaged when the bypass switch is pressed. The pedal constantly monitors and processes the incoming sound, so the effect is immediately heard when turned on.

SELECTING THE BYPASS MODE:

1. Plug out the PSU
2. Select the bypass mode via the PROGRAM knob:

• Tails: turn the PROGRAM knob fully counter-clockwise
  
• No tails, no input monitoring: set the PROGRAM knob to 12 o’clock
• Continuous input monitoring: turn the PROGRAM knob fully CW

1. Press and hold the bypass switch
2. Without releasing the bypass switch, plug the PSU back in. All three LEDs will light up
3. When only one LED starts flashing, release the bypass switch. The bypass mode has been selected and saved in the internal memory

INDICATION ON POWER-UP:
When the pedal is powered up, one of the LEDs lights up to indicate the currently selected bypass mode:

• Left LED: Tails
• Lower LED: No tails, no input monitoring
• Right LED: Continuous input monitoring

INDICATION IN USE:
When the pedal is turned on, the LEDs indicate which sound bank is currently active:

• All three LEDs light up: an algorithm from Bank 1 is selected
• Only the lower LED lights up: an algorithm from Bank 2 is selected
• LEDs are flashing and spinning around: Infinity Mode is engaged
