The Met Parachute Mcr MIPS MTB Cycling Helmet is built for riders who refuse to compromise on protection when the trail gets technical. Combining extended rear-head coverage with MIPS rotational impact technology and a ventilation system designed for demanding conditions, it addresses the real challenges of mountain biking in India — from Coorg singletrack to Lonavala descents and Himalayan dirt roads near Leh.

Use Cases

Daily training. Ventilated construction for 35°C+ Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai training rides.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and certified safety standards for competitive efforts.

Long endurance rides. Comfort-first padding and adjustable retention for full-day rides.

Our Take

For Indian mountain bikers, the Parachute Mcr ticks every critical box. The MIPS liner adds rotational impact protection that standard helmets skip, and the extended rear coverage matters on trail drops where the back of your head is exposed. In the 35°C+ heat of Pune's Sahyadri trails or Hyderabad's dry-season rides, the ventilation system keeps airflow moving without sacrificing structural integrity. This is a serious MTB helmet at a serious price — and worth it.

Sizing for Indian Riders

MET follows European sizing conventions. Measure head circumference at the forehead, just above the eyebrows. Typical sizes: S=51–55cm, M=55–59cm, L=59–63cm. Indian riders often find MET's fit slightly narrow at the temples — try before buying where possible. The adjustable retention system compensates for some variation. Wear the helmet level, one finger above eyebrows, with straps forming a V under each ear.

Compatibility Notes

Certified to international safety standards — confirm EN 1078 or equivalent for Indian regulatory compliance. The integrated MIPS liner is factory-fitted; do not modify. Compatible with MET-compatible goggle systems and standard MTB eyewear. The visor is adjustable; verify clearance with your preferred goggles. Replace immediately after any impact, regardless of visible damage — internal EPS foam deforms on first significant strike.

Pairs Well With

Complete your MTB setup with a quality pair of mountain bike goggles for trail dust and monsoon spray, MTB-specific gloves for grip and abrasion protection, a hydration pack for longer Coorg or Ooty trail rides, and durable MTB shoes for pedalling efficiency on technical terrain.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the MET Parachute Mcr MIPS best used for?

The Parachute Mcr MIPS is purpose-built for mountain biking and trail riding. Its extended rear coverage protects the back of the head on technical drops, while the MIPS liner adds rotational impact protection. It suits Indian trail conditions well — from the rocky Sahyadri descents near Pune and Lonavala to forested singletrack in Coorg and Ooty.

How does MET helmet sizing run, and what size should I order?

MET uses European sizing: S = 51–55cm, M = 55–59cm, L = 59–63cm. Measure your head circumference at the forehead with a soft tape. Indian riders with rounder head profiles should note that MET helmets can feel slightly narrow at the temples — the adjustable retention system helps, but an in-store fitting is ideal if available. This listing is stocked in size L.

Will the MET Parachute Mcr MIPS hold up in Indian heat and monsoon conditions?

Yes. The Parachute Mcr's ventilation system is designed for sustained hot-weather riding — relevant for 35°C+ temperatures in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Chennai summers. For monsoon riding in the Western Ghats, the visor helps deflect rain spray. The shell and liner materials are not adversely affected by humidity, though UV exposure over years will age the foam — replace every five years regardless.

How does the MET Parachute Mcr MIPS compare to a standard road cycling helmet?

Road helmets prioritise aerodynamics and maximum ventilation with minimal coverage. The Parachute Mcr is an MTB helmet — it extends further down the back of the head for trail impact protection, includes a visor for sun and debris, and uses the MIPS liner for rotational safety. It is heavier than a pure road helmet but significantly more protective for off-road and technical riding conditions.

Is the MET Parachute Mcr MIPS worth ₹27,999 in India, and what warranty applies?

At ₹27,999, the Parachute Mcr sits in the premium MTB helmet category — and the MIPS technology, extended coverage, and MET's safety engineering justify the price for regular trail riders. MET provides manufacturer warranty on materials and construction defects. Note that helmet warranty does not cover impact damage — replace after any significant crash. Cobbled Climbs ships from Mumbai with free delivery above ₹2,500 and COD available nationwide.

My coffee is now judging your coffee.
I’m a simple man. All I wanted was decent foam on my morning coffee without paying $7 at Starbucks like a sucker. What I got instead is this charcoal black, LED-equipped, triple-whisk, rocket-powered milk frother that feels like it should have a NASA logo on it. This thing has three speeds and an actual digital battery display. I caught myself staring at the 1% accuracy battery percentage like it was the stock market. “We’re at 87%… we’re still frothing kings today.” The magnetic charging dock is so satisfying it should be illegal. I literally say “goodnight” to it when I put it back on the stand. The spring whisk? Velvety microfoam so perfect my wife asked if I was having an affair with a barista. The balloon whisk made whipped cream so fluffy my kids thought it was a cloud that fell into their hot chocolate. And the hook whisk? Blended my protein shake with zero lumps, a miracle previously only achieved by professional athletes and people with patience. Battery life is ridiculous. I’ve been using it twice a day for two weeks and it’s still at 64%. This frother could survive a zombie apocalypse better than I could. The only real downside? I now judge other people’s coffee foam in public. Saw a sad flat latte the other day and whispered “that man doesn’t own the Dropology frother…” If you like coffee, matcha, hot chocolate, or just feeling like a kitchen god, buy this immediately. It’s the most over-engineered $30-ish gadget I’ve ever loved. 10/10 would froth again.

Powerful and I love the charging base and attachments
This is surprisingly more powerful than I thought it would be. It will whip up an egg for scrambled eggs as well as froth your milk. It came with 3 attachments and a charging base. You can charge it using the base or directly in to the frother using the included usbc. I have had battery operated frothers that really weren't that great. This one is blows them all away. I use it mainly to stir my coffee and scramble my eggs and I'm sure I will find many more ways to use it. Its a great value and looks nice on my counter top.

Can't turn it off quickly. Charging stand falls over easily.
This Electric Milk Frother Handheld: Wireless Starlight Black comes with three stainless steel mixer attachments, a charging cable, and a stand that holds the frother with magnets. The attachments are friction fit, they are easy to change and stay securely in place. The frother has three speeds, the speed changes by pressing the On button. Which is why I deducted one star. The problem is you can not turn the frother off quickly. You have to either cycle through the speeds, or hold the button for 2 seconds. When making a chocolate drink, I could not turn the frother off when my drink was about to spill and it made a mess. I recommend getting a frother with a momentary on off button that you hold down to keep it running and let off to stop it. I removed a second star because the base of the charger is narrow and light making it easy to fall over. It has to be taped to the counter with double sided tape.

Impressive Power and Convenience Right Out of the Box
I just got this electric milk frother, and after only a few uses I’m already impressed. It has strong, consistent power that turns milk into smooth, velvety foam in seconds — perfect for lattes, cappuccinos, or even mixing matcha. The LED display is a surprisingly premium touch, making it easy to see and switch between speeds. The fact that it’s rechargeable is a huge plus, and the 3‑in‑1 attachments give it more versatility than most handheld frothers. The charcoal black finish looks sleek and modern, and the build feels solid so far. Even with just a handful of uses, it’s clear this frother delivers great performance and convenience. A fantastic little upgrade to any coffee routine — definitely a 5‑star start.

I love it!
Color: Black, Size: Rechargeable
This thing works great! It holds a charge for a long time. I love that it has different attachments. I use it mainly for mixing powder into my drinks. It is very powerful. The speed is adjustable too. It feels good to hold too. It lights up when you squeeze the trigger and when it starts losing charge, the light bar gets shorter. I highly recommend it.
