Which Gas Pedal® Model to choose?

DOC's CHOICE / OUR BEST VALUE: The newest variant, the BLACK QPQ CM is the same dimensions as our BLACK QPQ MACHINED model and made from 17-4 stainless steel using a catamold process with PIM*. Extremely rugged, no failures reported.

BEST ALL-AROUND Want high durability, and great grip too? Choose our BLACK QPQ MACHINED, identical to our famous original design except it has slot on right side of spindle to facilitate removal. CNC made with billet high alloy steel. QPQ (an advanced version of black nitride, similar to Tennifer™) finish for superior wear ability. Improved Grip Texture,  MicroProp™ shape, nice cosmetics too. 

BEST Grip Texture ever? STEALTH GRAY or GOLD PVD machined versions. GRAY does NOT match color of SIG Legion models and is similar to a raw steel color. Gold may not be exactly same as Sig "Gold" as there are variations in all Gold pistol parts. PVD parts have a matte highly grippy texture but can be made shiny with lubricating cleaner like Hoppe's #9. Pics do not always show exact color. Want to shoot same model as PD? Our BLACK CM - LEO VERSION is slightly less expensive than our other models but has same precision and dimensions. Works exactly the same. Made with Catamold™ PIM* technology, the same process used in critical aerospace components with a black QPQ finish. You do not have to be LEO to order this.

For those that want the best of best, our latest limited quantity BLACK QPQ STAINLESS STEEL LTD III is for you.   The LTD III version has the exact same internal dimensions as the BLACK QPQ MACHINED, however it is made from billet stainless steel 17-4... this is not your father's stainless! 17-4 is much stronger and harder to mill than regular stainless (316/416-series). It has been precisely machined to have superior cosmetics.  We protect it even more with QPQ, a super durable black nitride finish variant with a satin finish. Normal appearance is a satin finish, but can be made flatter with rubbing alcohol or more shiny with gun oil Like Hoppe's #9. The LTD III version is the latest in the LTD series by adding a slot on right side of spindle to facilitate take down.

On a budget and okay with a surprise?  Want to explore the Opposable Grip?  BLEM are  quality part with EXTREMEDUTYTUFF™ 90 day  warranty but no returns. Low priced, easy entry level.  You never know which model you might get for P320 from CM to LTDIII grab bag, some are first quality discontinued models.

Lefty? Our LEFT HANDED BLACK QPQ is specially made for you. This is for the right side of the gun, for left handers (left hand pulls trigger). The complete assembly has a standard style left side of gun take down lever and a GAS PEDAL® ASSIST thumb pad on the right.

The least expensive model is the STAINLESS CM, still rugged and rust resistant, this part is uncoated and can be used bare or perfect for any custom coatings you might want. It is same shape and function as our BLACK QPQ CM but made with Catamold 17-4 Stainless with PIM*. Ideal for coating your own color.  They can be used as is, but without coating Perfect for trainer guns that want to try Opposable Grip Inexpensively.

*CM PARTS: PIM is particle injection molding, NOT to be confused with MIM (metallic injection molding). Catamod™ PIM from BASF and has similar strength to CNC 17-4 Stainless. PIM uses a special multi step process to fuse and sinter, producing extremely precise and strong part.

NOTE: This Gas Pedal® Assist takedown lever component is designed for normal loads with compatible spring rates. SIG Sauer considers the take down lever to be a consumable part, even their own. Our part should last at least as long as the original part on all SIG models. On the X5 Legion Spectre and AXG expect to replace the takedown after long term or hot loads. Too hot a load with light spring or odd guide rod may cause breakage due to battering of the guide rod against the takedown lever. Pressing down with thumb instead of towards bore can cause same issue. Learn More
