We first experienced this wonderful bean as expats on holiday to Hainan Island - freshly sautéed with hints of garlic and it was love at first bite. After several attempts at growing supposed day-length neutral seeds to no blossoms, I am quite excited to finally have pods mature for viable seed.
Seeds are hard-coated and benefit from a small nick opposite the hilum and then an overnight soak to assist moisture absorption to aid in germination. Vines are vigorous.
