Ideal for practice, pedal testing, or quiet playing; The Amp 50 can operate without a connected speaker, making it a perfect addition to any pedalboard. Plus, the universal IEC power input (100-260 VAC) ensures worldwide compatibility without additional power accessories.
At its core, The Amp 50 features a preamp based on a single 12AX7 operating at high voltage in a discrete Class A circuit. This tube preamp delivers the harmonics and sweet-sounding high-fidelity tones that tubes are renowned for, complete with a tube EQ for rich tonal shaping. With built-in reverb and tremolo effects, The Amp 50 is the perfect grab-and-go amplifier, featuring built-in footswitches for easy effects switching.
The Class D power section delivers 50 watts in 8 ohms or an impressive 100 watts in 4 ohms, ensuring a powerful and clear sound. The Speakon combination jack accepts both standard 1/4" and locking Speakon connectors for extra safety. For high-quality studio recordings, The Amp 50 offers an internal XLR output for a balanced line-level output, without modeling or presets. Use it as a front-end for a modeling system, in your recording setup, or play directly on stage.
Additionally, The Amp 50 features a "pedal level" output, allowing it to be the front end of your pedalboard or act as an amp-like effect at the end of your pedal chain. This adds harmonics and tube warmth between your guitar pickup and the grid of a tube. Use it further down the signal chain for unique tonal possibilities, extra EQ or reverb, or to drive the input of another amplifier as an additional tube gain stage.
