Flat pedals win medals they say, and if you're in the camp of death before clipless, the Men's Riddance Mid Cycling Shoe might just be your new flat pedal trail shoes of choice. It has a host of features providing you the confidence needed to progress your trail or park game in any condition.

Giro has a long relationship with the technical rubber experts at Vibram so it wasn't a surprise to see Giro calling it up and asking for the rubber needed on the stickiest sole it's ever launched. This new Megagrip ISR rubber not only sticks to your pedals with impressive tenacity, it helps dampen vibrations that lead to sore feet and fatigue. Rubber toe and heel reinforcements further increase durability while the gummy rubber with optimized tread design mates to the Riddance’s full-length EVA midsole that soaks up the hits on stomped landings or if you have to land sans bike.

The upper is constructed from a durable, supple, and water-resistant microfiber that's breathable, easy to care for, and looks great. A lace closure offers a near custom fit while the hook-and-loop strap offers additional support and hides the laces from hungry chains. This mid-top version adds a little more coverage for protection against your bike's frame, wheels, pedals, and cranks, as well as the trail and ramps and more support to prevent rolled ankles.

  • A protective and comfortable shoe for progressing in the dirt
  • Synthetic microfiber upper material is supple and durable
  • Grippy Vibram outsole sticks to flat pedals
  • Lace-up closure with hook-and-loop protective strap
  • Additional ankle coverage offers more padding and support

Very Informative, but lacking in one or two areas.
Format: Kindle
I'm disabled and need a better living condition. I'm already on the waiting list for S8 and have been for the last year and a half. The book is informative, but it lacks in some areas. The author seems to think that many on disability have the option to "physically move around" doing chores and visiting offices. I'm a disabled 53 year old man, homebound and just recently lost daytime access to my little truck, only available to me during the weekends and evening hours, and when I do have it, it's rare I drive long distances. I cannot even afford to ride public transportation and have no one else to lean on for support. Also he seems to think that buying donuts/lunch for the whole office is a way in... maybe it's a way in for those that can afford it.. but not for many. Other than that.. it's worth to buy the download of the book itself.

Can be useful for some.
Format: Paperback
This book is an easy read. I read it in one sitting. I found the information interesting, and not boring. Please keep in mind that everyone's situation is different, and not all tips will apply to you. I did find some points useful for future reference. If you're someone who doesn't know much about section 8 you would probably find this book helpful. Overall, I don't regret getting this book.

Great even if you don't use section 8
This a great book even if you aren't planning to use section 8. I learned a lot of things to go on the frugal side to save some money. This guy had 300 homes so you know he was doing something right. It was so interesting to read. Great book...I read it fast and I read it 2 times. I followed a lot of his tips.

Average information
I bought this book in hopes that it might help me with getting insights into the section eight selection system. Mostly common sense, good book for someone completely new to the whole section 8.
