The frame of the Scale is made with monocoque carbon fiber construction to keep the weight low and stiffness high. The use of one mold for the main triangle of the bike results in better stiffness and more efficiency thanks to the continuity of the carbon. High modulus and ultra-high modulus carbon is used in targeted areas for the best possible power transfer. Overall, this frame weighs in at just 912 grams, cutting 57 grams off the already incredibly lightweight previous model. Despite such a heavy focus on stiffness and weight, the carbon has targeted flexibility in certain areas to maintain compliance.
