  • Controls a wide spectrum of weeds
  • Low application rate offers excellent value

Instructions for use

Where to use

Grazon Pro can be used in all amenity grassland and grassland situations.

  • Amenity grassland: Areas of semi-natural or planted grassland subject to minimal or non-intensive management
  • Grassland: Land grown for grass production which may be grazed and/or cut for animal consumption

When to use

Grazon Pro can be used between 1st March to 30th October and is most effective when used to treat weeds that are actively growing.

For optimum efficacy, the timing of the application of Grazon Pro is crucial:

Weed Type Application Timing
Nettle When actively growing but before flowering
Dock In the spring when docks are in the rosette stage
Creeping thistle When actively growing but before flower spikes are 15 cm high
Bramble, broom and gorse June-August when actively growing but before autumn senescence begins

How to use

Grazon Pro can be applied using handheld spraying equipment such as a knapsack sprayer using a medium spray quality nozzle:

  • Half fill the spray tank with water
  • Add the required amount of Grazon Pro and agitate to ensure thorough mixing
  • Add the remaining water and continue to agitate
  • Maintain agitation of the spray solution whilst spraying
  • When spraying ensure foliage is thoroughly wetted but run-off should be avoided
  • To allow maximum translocation, avoid cutting the grass for up to 28 days after application
  • After spraying clean all spraying equipment inside and out, using a suitable spray tank cleaner

Additional Information

  • Do not apply onto or around manure or other compost heaps
  • Do not roll or harrow grass for 10 days before or 7 days after application
  • Any yellowing of the sward is transient and will quickly grow out
  • Avoid contact with non-target plants, ponds, lakes or water courses
  • In hot conditions vapour drift may occur
  • Grazon Pro residues in plant tissues (including manure and compost) which have not completely decayed may affect succeeding susceptible crops
  • Do not use plant material treated with Grazon Pro or manure from animals fed on crops treated with Grazon Pro for composting or mulching
  • Be aware that conifers are particularly sensitive to spray drift
  • Avoid applying when conditions are not suitable for active plant growth
  • Exclude livestock during treatment and for at least 7 days following treatment, if ragwort is present exclude livestock until it has completely recovered or died and there is no visible sign of the dead weed

Active Substances

Clopyralid and triclopyr

Bio-Chemical Mode of Action: Clopyralid and triclopyr belong to the synthetic auxins group of herbicides.

Synthetic auxins work by inducing rapid abnormal cell growth and development in the stems, petioles and leaves of susceptible plants causing cell bursts and ultimately cell and plant death.

Mobility: Clopyralid and triclopyr are systemic penetrants which means that the active substance can be translocated downwards through the plant within the phloem (sugar conducting tissues) and upwards through the plant within the xylem (water conducting tissues).

Application timing: Systemic auxins are best applied when the weeds are actively growing. They are generally more effective when target plants are younger and in their vegetative phases.

Resistance: The incidences of resistance to synthetic auxins remains relatively low which is assumed to be because the herbicide has multiple sites of action.

However, resistance to synthetic auxins has been observed globally with 36 species being confirmed as resistant as of 2017. Best management practices, such as alternating with products with a different mode of action and using cultural weed control methods, will help to reduce the risk of further resistance.

My puppies favorite bone to chew
I’ve bought at least a half a dozen of puppy bones for my doggie to try, the majority being from Nylabone, and the others from hartz. Her first bone was a pink puppy Nylabone xsmall sise. She definitely must have liked that one but unfortunately I felt like I had to take it away from her too soon, she was teething more then, but even so, thought it was unsafe when I saw little pieces come off and her trying to chew them. I really like these the best, though I don’t think I’ll be ordering any more at least not until she finishes her new ones. I don’t know what flavor she likes more, it might even be a color thing, but I think she prefers the orange ones which are peanut butter flavored. These are really ideal for toy breeds. My pup is still growing, she’s almost 7 months now, but unsure when she will stop growing, for reference she is a chocolate sable yorkiepoo, not sure of how much she weighs right now, but would estimate she weighs around 5.5-6 pounds. These are perfect for her, and I feel like they out live the other ones I’ve gotten, or she just has more interest in them. I bought a second package on subscribe and save (or possibly on my first and forgot I had a new order and didn’t return), but didn’t open the new package until recently as I felt the first pack were starting to look a bit knawed off, but in the middle there was still plenty of chew left. Oddly, she has prefered the old orange one vs the brand new orange one despite them being the exact same toy and flavor. I think she just hasn’t broken it in yet and I overloaded her with too many toys! I also got them for a great price, for some reason I noticed that the price increased nearly double of what I paid, and now they habe decreased a bit but still are about $2 more than what I paid. She loves all toys, and has many plush kinds. She still teeths, so when she is extra hyper and such, I feel like the bone helps occupy her for a moment. All in all I’d reccomend these out of any puppy bones to chew for toy breeds!

Love nylabones
Nylabbones did it again. The pugs love these. They're so cute and tiny. Perfect for their lithe selves. They're still safe and soft and very chewable.

Not safe, easily chewed bits off
Mixed feelings. My puppies love them and love to chew on them but also chewed the edges off pretty quickly. I had to take away the first one after only a couple days of intermittent chew so it’s really not durable or long lasting. I don’t feel this is safe for a 12 week old puppy which is super small and can be a choking hazard.

Very Small
These are tiny! Just perfect for my little dogs but one was lost within the first few minutes so I had to order another. I'm not so sure how safe it is for the fur children to chew on non-edible, non-digestible plastics but they seem to really like them.
