The pedals of the extender simply rest on the pedals of the piano, so no installation is required. Simply adjust to the correct height and your young piano student will be able to comfortably reach the pedals! Available in Ebony/Black or Walnut
The mechanism adjusts by turning the knobs, changing the height of the wooden platform from 5.5" to 8" from the floor (the pedals are approximately 2" above the top of the platform, so for height of the pedals from floor, it is 7.5" to 10"). A micro-adjustable system, you can adjust the height as little or as high as you would like (some platforms have a notch system, limiting you to 3 or 4 different heights).
The platform extender has a solid wood base, with 2 Brass Pedals. The pedals measure 4.5" x 2.25". There are rubber bumpers on the bottom of the platform, to protect your floor from damage, as well as to keep the platform from moving around while in use. There are also rubber bumpers underneath the brass pedals, so that the wood platform is not scratched.
This is the upgraded pedal platform. It has a high gloss wood finish (as opposed to the cheaper vinyl wrapped platforms you can find). It also has two adjustment knobs, instead of the more commonly found single knob. The knobs are ribbed, making it easier to turn, and measure 3" in diameter. Finally, this pedal extender has rubber buttons on the back of the platform, to protect the finish of your piano when pushed up against it.
