This deceptively simple design uses discreet J-FET transistors in a single-ended “Class A” configuration to achieve the warmest possible tone. The Class A Boost can deliver up to 20db of clean boost and remains effective with both instrument and line level signals.With superior signal to noise performance allows you to put the Class A Boost anywhere in your pedal chain. It can add punch and extra output to a classic overdrive sound and is able to push distortion pedals into extremely aggressive crunch land. Class A Boost is also ideal for hitting the front end of a tube amp to achieve an added layer of sweetness and fat tone.

The difference between 16 oz. and 18 oz. is hard to detect.

These bowls don't appear to be 18 oz. In fact, they look like they're smaller than my "paper" 16 oz. bowls. Perhaps they are deeper. Still, when I put food in them, they hold pretty much what the paper 16 oz. ones do. I chose them, again because I thought I made a mistake previously to this order. I wanted the sugar cane, heavy duty, microwavable bowls that these are advertised to be. Everything is as described except the size. I'll have to make note that I shouldn't buy these because the oz.'s advertised will persuade one to buy them.
