Planting Instructions

Rosemary can be planted indoors, outdoors, or in containers.

Sow seeds 1/4” deep in spring in a location with full sun. Or, start indoors 8-10 weeks before the last expected frost. Germination may take up to a month, so be patient.

Transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Space plants 4-5' apart. Plants can grow up to 4 feet tall and 4 feet in diameter. Rosemary needs well-draining soil – the roots will rot in soil that is consistently wet.

Prune as needed to keep growth in check and so plants don't become lanky.
