Die Futtertonne ist aus stabilem, lebensmittelechtem Kunststoff (PP) gefertigt. Der mitgelieferte Deckel sitzt fest auf dem Eimer und verhindert das Eindringen von Feuchtigkeit oder Schädlingen und kann als Original-Ersatzteil bestellt werden. Die zwei seitlichen Tragegriffe ermöglichen ein einfaches Tragen des gefüllten Eimers. Einen Henkel hat der Eimer nicht. Dank des flachen Deckels lassen sich die Eimer gut übereinander stapeln.
