SureFire XC3 Sub Handgun WeaponLight: The Definitive 1,000 Lumen & 13,000 Candela Solution for Identifying Threats with Subcompact Pistols

  • The SureFire XC3 Sub Weaponlight is a professional-grade, subcompact illumination tool designed specifically for micro-compact concealed carry pistols. It delivers duty-grade performance and Mil-Spec durability in a footprint that won't weigh down your firearm or compromise your holster fit. This light provides the specific beam intensity needed for positive target identification in high-stakes environments.
  • Pierce the Night with 13,000 Candela: This high-intensity beam is engineered to break through the "photonic barrier" caused by streetlights or oncoming headlights. The focused light ensures you can see clearly into dark shadows or through bright backlighting to identify a threat.
  • Identify Targets Up to 228 Meters Away: The hybrid beam pattern produces 1,000 lumens of white light (using the included rechargeable battery) or 550 lumens with a standard 123A battery. This balance gives you wide situational awareness to see your surroundings while still throwing light far enough to cover long hallways or outdoor areas.
  • Mounts to Glock, Sig, and Springfield Subcompacts: This light includes a versatile rail system with specific adapters for the Glock 43X/48, Springfield Hellcat, HK CC9, and Sig Sauer P365. The secure attachment ensures your light stays zeroed and won't shift under the recoil of small, high-pressure handguns.
  • Duty-Grade Strength in a 2.65 Ounce Package: Built from high-strength aerospace aluminum with a Mil-Spec hard-anodized finish, this light is designed for daily carry and hard use. It adds less than 3 ounces to your setup, making it light enough to carry all day while being rugged enough to survive drops and impacts.

SureFire XC3 Sub WeaponLight Features & Specifications

The SureFire XC3 Sub Weaponlight is the definitive professional-grade illumination tool for subcompact concealed carry pistols. It bridges the gap between portability and duty-grade power, offering a 1,000-lumen output that turns a micro-compact firearm into a high-performance tactical asset. Its unique parabolic reflector focuses light into a tight, 13,000-candela beam that punches through photonic barriers like streetlights or shadows, ensuring you can identify threats with absolute certainty. Engineered with a multi-adapter rail system, the XC3 Sub Handgun WeaponLight eliminates purchase anxiety by providing a rock-solid, zero-shift fit for the industry’s most popular carry guns, including the Glock 43X, Sig P365, and Springfield Hellcat.

Key Features

  • Break Through Photonic Barriers: The 13,000-candela peak beam intensity is specifically tuned to cut through bright backlighting and dark shadows for positive target identification.
  • Dual-Fuel Versatility: This SureFire XC3 Sub light automatically adjusts performance based on your power source; use the included rechargeable battery for maximum output or standard lithium cells for extended runtime.
  • Wide Subcompact Compatibility: Includes a versatile rail system with specific adapters to ensure a secure, custom fit on the Glock 43X/48 MOS, Springfield Hellcat, HK CC9, and Sig Sauer P365.
  • Tactical Ambidextrous Switching: The XC3 Sub Subcompact Handgun WeaponLight features intuitive Ambidextrous Toggle Switches that allow for both momentary-on (press and hold) and constant-on (quick tap) activation with either hand.
  • Ruggedized Mil-Spec Build: Constructed from aerospace-strength aluminum with a Type III hard-anodized finish to survive the recoil of high-pressure subcompact rounds and daily holster wear.

SureFire XC3 Sub WeaponLight FAQs

What is the SureFire XC3 Sub Weaponlight?

It is a very small, powerful Compact High-Output WeaponLight that attaches to the bottom of compact handguns. It helps you see clearly in the dark so you can identify exactly what is in front of you before you decide to take action.

Will the SureFire XC3-A-BK fit my specific handgun?

Yes, if you own a subcompact pistol like the Glock 43X, Sig P365, or Springfield Hellcat. It comes with special rail adapters that make sure the light stays tightly locked onto your gun without wiggling.

How bright is this light and how far can it reach?

When using the rechargeable battery, the SureFire XC3 Sub generates a 1,000 Lumen Subcompact WeaponLight output. This is bright enough to see things clearly up to 228 meters away, which is more than two football fields in length.

What does "13,000 Candela" mean for me?

Candela measures the "punch" of the light. Having a 13,000 Candela Peak Beam Intensity means the beam is strong enough to see through other lights, like streetlamps or a bright porch light, so you aren't blinded by the glare.

Do I have to buy special batteries?

No. It comes with a modern SFRCR123 battery that you can plug into a USB-C cable. If that battery dies and you can't charge it, you can also use a standard 123A battery.

Is it easy to turn on if I am in a hurry?

Yes. There are Ambidextrous Toggle Switches on both sides of the light. You can tap them quickly for constant-on, or press and hold for momentary-on activation.

Can I use this in the rain?

Yes. This light is IPX7 waterproof and built from the same tough aluminum used in airplanes. It can be dropped in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes and still work perfectly.

Do I need a special holster for this weaponlight?

Yes. Because the light changes the shape of your handgun, you will need a holster designed to fit both your specific gun and the light.

Can I use holsters made for the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub?

Yes! This is a major benefit of the XC3 Sub light. SureFire designed this light to fit into many existing commercially available holsters, including those for the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub.

Where can I find the SureFire XC3 Sub Manual?

You can view the SureFire XC3 Sub Manual online or download the official user guide for detailed instructions on battery installation and mounting here: XC3 Sub Manual Download.

Where can I find the SureFire XC3 Sub Weaponlight for sale?

The SureFire XC3 Sub Handgun WeaponLight for sale is available directly through Atomic Defense. As an authorized SureFire dealer, Atomic Defense ensures you receive authentic, top-quality gear backed by expert support.

You can get this online free, but I bought it. Let Fanon turn your brain inside out.
I actually like the idea of supporting a press that is publishing Fanon. When I was growing up with my dad working with the SCLC and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as part of the night security crew for the summer marches, I was probably more aware than most Americans -- certainly most Americans outside of the black community -- of how much permeability there was between the nonviolent SCLC, and the Black Panther movement, for which Fanon was a seed influence. Youth in the SNCC organization, the youth group associated with the SCLC, often went back and forth between SNCC and the Panthers as they developed their activist identity and their ideas of how justice might be achieved. The phrase "by any means necessary" used by the Panthers often scared the bejeezus out of the white community. But when I sat down with my father -- who was an adherent of formal nonviolence -- he handed me Fanon to read, and told me that it was a valid investigation as to whether violence should be considered if nonviolent means were not entertained by the state. To my dad, who was a peaceful but fiercely justice-oriented man (for those of you who know the idiom "fire of Amos" he had it), he considered that without the counterpoint of the Panthers, MLK would never have gotten a hearing in Washington DC. Just the idea that there were revolutionaries in American society looking at American "apartheid" and saying, "We are willing to take care of our own if you separate us. We see our situation as that of a post-colonial slavery society and use the model of African liberation as our model. We are willing to be peaceful if we are given justice in peace, but we do not believe that you are acting in good faith and will use whatever means necessary to see you follow your own promises of justice and see justice for our own people if you will not see that done." That was actually a step down from Fanon. That was actually optimism. But all white Americans heard out of any of that was: "...by any means necessary." They didn't think of how they were creating the circumstances that might precipitate violence. That whites had created a system that instituted violence to keep slaves, and later free blacks, contained and preserve power and privilege for the white majority. It is hard for most Americans to even realize that America -- although we became independent from England -- continued as a colonial nation and economy on our own continent and territory. That all the institutions of the repression and destruction of indigenous and imported-slave cultures that happened "over there" in countries that Europeans colonized far from home, we did at home as a break-away colony, and the Europeans who conquered America never relented, compromised, or acknowledged that colonial reality in the way that the Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Italian, French, and British Empires did in their colonial domains. So Fanon is someone worth reading, not only for Africans, or for African-Americans, but for any American or anyone else in the world who wants to better ponder white privilege in America and how it became so very different from colonial privilege as that faded in Africa, through the lens of this Algerian revolutionary philosopher, who so influenced our Panthers. I remain committed to nonviolence personally, but I understand intensely how MLK and Malcolm balance each other. And how that can actually lead to better peaceful solutions, in a social justice conflict where the status quo has been preserved by judicial and extrajudicial violence by a superior force. This is still relevant in puppet regimes all over the world. In client states of capitalist powers and of Russia and China. In the conflicts surrounding Israel, and the conflicts throughout the Middle East and Central Asia that are often couched in sectarian terms or sectarian vs secular terms. It is vital to understanding countries like Zimbabwe or South Africa, where the dynamics of early black leadership as colonial-wannabes are creating environments of corruption and scandal, and robbing their own people. Everyone should read Fanon. If you can't afford the book here, you can find it online free. This book, and Black Skin, White Masks, both highly recommended. If you don't like Marxist/Socialist politics, try to suspend disbelief a bit. The philosophy, sociology, and psychology is amazing.

Must read book on African colonial sociology and politics
Fanon describes the character of (European) colonialists, the colonised Africans (the "masses" - rural and urban, the elites, the nationalists, the tribalists) wonderfully. The book is wonderfully written - Fanon must have been a good writer. Fanon is a psychiatrist, and worked in Algeria as psychiatrist, but he many have travelled other African countries too. His book shows his deep knowledge of both African and European sociology, psychology and politics. The book is still relevant; his analysis as to what will happen after the liberation of African countries is amazingly valid. He is in a way one of the most important African (though he is born in Latin America) sociologist and political scientist. Fanon's book starts on "violence", he doesn't shy away from prescribing violence in the struggle for liberation. Some find Fanon advocating violence, but that is not the case. He puts in perspective the violence perpetrated by colonists against the resulting reaction that culminates in the violence of the colonised. His clear analysis demystifies the violence that still grips Africa. Unfortunately Fanon seems to put all European in Africa as colonists. Many cases from South Africa show that that should not be the case. But his views may be due to the brutal repression he has to witness and experience in Algeria by the French government and French citizens there.
