Organic Kelp Meal 2-0-4 is a slow-release soil amendment and biostimulant made from Ascophyllum nodosum, a cold-water seaweed. It supplies 2% nitrogen and 4% soluble potash (K₂O) along with 60+ ocean-sourced trace minerals — iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron, molybdenum, and more — in naturally balanced proportions, plus naturally occurring auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins, and betaines.

Kelp meal is best used as a supplement to a primary nitrogen and phosphorus program rather than as a stand-alone fertilizer. It releases gradually over 4–6 months as soil microbes break it down, has very low burn risk, and is gentle enough for direct transplant contact. Its trace minerals and growth compounds support root establishment and can complement plants through heat, frost, and drought when applied ahead of stress.

Use it in transplant pockets, new bed prep, container mixes, and around trees and shrubs. Work into the top 3 inches of soil and water in thoroughly; mineralization is best in soils above 55°F.
